Hello, everyone!
As the title of this thread says, I come from Finland. It would be nice to meet other Finns here. I am pretty young, only 14, but I hope that it is not a problem with you.
I spend a lot of time reading Marxist literature, but I still have a lot to learn about Marxist theory and I still haven't read all the "classical" Marxist books.
Also, because of my admiration of Stalin, I feel that it's very important for me to tell you that I lost relatives in the so-called "gulags".

Welcome to this place.
Also, because of your family ending up in "gulags" I think your admiration for Stalin is even more sickening (though I hope you eventually change your mind on Stalin).
This may be somewhat of a bad analogy but it would kind of be like me justifying nazism because my family died in a concentration-camp, it doens't work that way. You don't get a free-pass for stupid shit because your family went through said stupid shit.

I used to hate Stalin for a lot of time because of that. Later I came to a better understanding of the situation. My relatives were also very good friends with Mannerheim and others. I'm ashamed to even call them my relatives. Search "Enckell" on Google and you might realize why.

i still consider myself to be among the 'young people' and with the notable exception of the nc youth wankers, most of us don't. and seeing them, as well as the ilks of nalle and katainen, use that rhetoric to justify austerity measures has for long been more depressingly asuming than plain revolting.
anyways welcome, there's actually quite many finns here but most are kind of in the hiding. hit up the finnish-language subforum, it's not very lively (nice way of saying it's dead) but at least i check it quite often anyways.

Because we should send everyone who disagrees with us or does something wrong into forced labor rather than dealing with the root of the problem, amirite?

Hey! Welcome to RevLeft! I also registered here when I was 14 (I'm 15 now). I'll copy and paste my typical introduction post because it contains literature that you may like to read, and I'm to lazy to reword it.

Hello! I don't know if you're new to leftism or not, but in case you are, have you read Friedrich Engel's Principles of Communism (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/11/prin-com.htm) and/or his Draft of a Communist Confession of Faith (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/06/09.htm)? It's available at marxists.org (Marxists Internet Archive).
I'd recommend checking this out (MIA): Beginners Guide to Marxism (http://marxists.org/subject/students/index.htm) and Lenin's The Three Sources and Three Component Parts of Marxism (http://marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1913/mar/x01.htm).
Also, here are a few books (PDFs) that are a good introduction to Marxism.
Marx: A Beginner's Guide (http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/fss/e8cf47710e69d334b5e9e87b31f39d5c/Collier+-+Marx+A+Beginners+Guide.pdf)
The Revolutionary Ideas of Karl Marx (http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/fss/d82d1569f5dc8ef869a21aba711c0f88/Callinicos+-+Revolutionary+Ideas+of+Marx.pdf)
Are you interested in any particular tendency right now?
If you're not new, then welcome! :)
