The first meeting of the Socialist Platform in Left Unity (UK) was held recently and a report appeared here

Readers may be a little disappointed to read of organisations within Socialist Platform voting en bloc. Strange behaviour considering sometimes fulsome praise for turning Left Unity into a fully-fledged political party. Where do bloc voters loyalties lie?

The CPGB has two reports this week on the 'Socialist platform'

What's the SPGB saying about it?

I must state first off, that I have not read the ISN or Weekly Worker reports linked too, or for that matter paid much attention to the development of the Left Unity project.

That being said, one of the main movers of the Socialist Platform is a personal friend of mine. I will probably see him over the weekend, and may ask him about it if I can be bothered. To get to your question (or rhetorical statement?) about what do loyalties mean in this case. My guess would be that this probably refers to the informal, mostly unaffiliated grouping of people coming from various political backgrounds who initiated the Socialist Platform within Left Unity. Who in general appear to espouse a soft version of CPGB politics - mass (as opposed to a broad) party as their ultimate goal for what Left Unity should become.

I went through the Left Unity platforms the other night & ick -- all the same -- effin hairsplitters. There is some good debate on the Left Unity site about issues AND method/strategy that doesn't fall into the tired drudge and shows signs of creative thinking.

I'm not a fan of Socialist Platform, but the SPGB has invited the Socialist Platform for further discussion. I would suppose this would include where the SPGB and Socialist Platform might differ.
I think one of the Socialist Platform clauses mentions the 'ultimate aim' (as oppose to 'immediate aim') which sounds too Fabian evolutionary socialism to me.
