Death to fascism, and the Golden Dawn party. I'm tired of their fascist, neo-nazi ways. Thank God they only have 19 members that actually have Greek government jobs.

Neonazi murdered a 34 years old man in Athens
Posted by dawnofthegreeks
A 34-year old man was killed at around 12.10 in the evening in Amfiali (Athens). According to witnesses the victim and his friends, 5-6 men and women hunted by about 25 people with black t-shirts after the end of a football match. The 34 year old man was hit by at least three stab wounds to the chest at Xanthus Tsaldari street in downtown of Amfiali. Police detained one person around 45 years old and in his possession the police found a knife. Police sources said the arrested has close relationships with the extreme right. At the place of the murder have gathered about 200 people from the antifascist scene. The murdered man was an antifascist activist of that area.

Greece needs to get its shit together for a revolution. If it doesn't happen soon i predict a fascist government rising the same way it happened in Germany in the 30s.

How about 70s Greece? They had a "fascist' junta for decades...
Anyways;
[ Wanneer: 18/09/2013 - 09:19
Pavlos Fyssas, a 34 year old antifascist and hip hop artist (Killah P), was murdered byGolden Dawnneonazis in Keratsini, a working class neighborhood in Piraeus.
From eye-witness report: "Around 24:00 a group of 15-20 fascists, wearing black t-shirtsand militarypantsand boots, was deployed on P. Tsaldari street. During that time, Killah P was walking with his girlfriend and another couple when he was spotted by the fascists shouting "what are you looking for here, you know there is no place for you in this hood". The fascists hunted the two couples down P. Tsaldari street towards Gr. Lampraki avenue, where from another street, a new group of around 10 fascists came out and surrounded the guys. At that time, a car drove opposite in an one-way street, stopped, the driver came out and stabbed KillahP oncein the heart and once in the abdomen (the stabbing on his abdomen had an upside-down "L" shape).
The whole scene took place in the presence of DIAS motorbike police, that only afterwards and onlyas soon as most of the fascists had alreadydispersed, arrested the murderer (according tosome witnessesKillahP while stillin shock kept pointing at the murderer and this is how the cops arrestedhim- a 55year oldholdinga knife, described by other eye-witnesses as a known Golden Down associate). The ambulance took 35 minutes to approach and Pavlos was pronounced dead at Nikaia general hospital."
A call for a gathering on the spot of his assassination was made for today, Wednesday 18:00, on 60, P. Tsaldari street (from Athens, via public bus B18 from Ralli-Salaminas, or Γ18 from Gr. Lampraki, from Piraeus via publicbus 824 or 826). There are also calls for demonstrations in Thessaloniki: 10:00 in the teachers demo, 16:00 in Physics dept. in AUTH university campus, 18:00 demonstration from "Kamara" on Egnatia street. In Mytilene, Lesbos island, 18:00 on Sappho square,in Patras,10:00 onOlga square,in Larissa 10:00 in the 1rst Lyceum and 10:30 in the teachers' demo, in Komotini and many other towns there also demos on 18:00.
It is hardly surprisingthatthe Greekpolice once again did nothing to prevent Golden Dawn nazi violence (Golden Dawn is largely supported by the Greek capitalists, the governmentand the church,as a willfulthug against militants, workers and the poor, and morethan half of the police vote for this openly neonazist party) if not actively participating in or covering the organisation of what looks as a death trap for a well-known radical, member of the metalworkers union and antifahip-hopartist in a working class district, near the spot where a few days ago 8 members of the communist party (KKE) were also brutally assaulted by Golden Dawn nazis.
It is hardly surprisingthe silence ofallthe massmedia, that are kept alive due to the government's vast loans and benefits, that either decided to mention the assassination as a "fight after an arguement about football" or to not mention it at all. Theyare the samemassmediathat promote every misanthropic Golden Dawn activity as an "opposition to the system's flaws", and lately as a realistic governmentpartner for the future. They are of course the voice of their owners, the same few families of capitalists, owners of a shitload of shiptanks, banks and hotels that support the right-wing government and its thuggish little counterpart on the streets, the Golden Dawn, in what they see as a Golden opportunity to get rid of workers rights and turn Greece into a proper labour camp under the nationalist and religious kitsch.
It is worth noticing that this is a hard time for the governmentand their nazicounterparts,as evenafter their full scale assault on anarchists, squatters, and workers' struggles, the movements seems to find again its momentum, with the current struggles of the teachers, the hospital workers etc.

For Pavlos: the antifa rapper killed by Golden Dawn
by Leonidas Oikonomakis on September 18, 2013
http://media.roarmag.org/2013/09/Pavlos-Fyssas-Killah-P.jpgLast night, Greek activist and artist Pavlos Fyssas was stabbed to death by a gang of neo-Nazi thugs. Leonidas Oikonomakis pays tribute to his friend.
Eyewitness reports on Pavlos’ murder are available here (http://roarmag.org/2013/09/pavlos-fyssas-killed-golden-dawn/).
For Pavlos,
I still remember the last concert we gave in Athens as Social Waste back in 2005. It took place at the legendary “An Club” in Exarchia and we shared the stage with Rhymeshot, the new band at the time of Killah P.
– “We are not ready Pavlo, we’d better not perform, we haven’t done rehearsals for a long time.”
– “No, no! In our first concert I want you guys there! C’mon!”
At the time Pavlos was 26 years old, and I was 23. We had met at Freestyle Productions, a socio-political hip-hop production team that was formed around Active Member, the country’s biggest hip-hop band. As we shared similar political beliefs and respect for each other we became friends, and we remained so even after we both left Freestyle Productions.
Pavlos was from a working class suburb of Piraeus and, like all the kids born and raised there, he was a fan of Olympiakos (“..and Proodeftiki!” he would add!) — another thing we had in common and that brought us close. I remember we always used to hang out in the demonstrations being organized in Athens and elsewhere at the time, often marching together in the same formation. Pavlos was always present in the social struggles of his time and his generation, and he tried to contribute to them through his music and lyrics as well.
Time passed. I left Greece and now when I return I very rarely spend time in Athens. We lost contact but I was always learning his news from common friends. I heard he had opened up a small taverna in his neighborhood and I kept following his songs and activities from abroad.
And last night, after watching the game of my — and Pavlos’ — favorite team over the Internet, I kept browsing the web when the news came up: “Antifascist stabbed by neo-Nazis in Amfiali. It all took place after the game of Olympiakos-PSG”. I kept following the thread as the news slowly kept coming in, and then I read it:
“The antifascist young man is dead. His name was Pavlos Fissas, known in the hip hop circles as Killah P…
I froze.
I don’t even know why I am writing these lines right now… Or maybe I do know. Because a young man died tonight, a young man who happened to be a friend of mine, stabbed to death by a neo-Nazi squad whose members today are inside the Greek Parliament and who seem to be enjoying great popular support. And all this has a reason: the rise of fascism in Greece is a direct result of the austerity policies that have driven the people here into extreme levels of poverty, marginalization and insecurity, providing fertile ground for the neo-Nazis of Golden Dawn who promise them national glory in place for economic security.
The neoliberal austerity policies that have brought Greece to this condition are being imposed by the Troika of foreign lenders: the ECB, the IMF, and the EU, and implemented by the servile government of this country.
Both the Troika and the Greek government have chosen to turn a blind eye to the murderous actions of Golden Dawn. They know about it — it’s not that they don’t. But as long as the austerity measures are voted through Parliament and the debt is repaid, the Troika is happy. At the same time, Antonis Samaras’ ruling right-wing party views Golden Dawn supporters as “their own people”, and even the Prime Minister himself regularly adopts Golden Dawn’s hate speech, especially when it comes to matters of immigration.
None of this is new. It has been going on for three years now while the social and economic conditions in the country steadily worsen, sending more and more people into the violent arms (http://roarmag.org/2012/10/golden-dawn-european-union-silence/) of Golden Dawn. Neither is Pavlos the only victim of this murderous squad. Just one year ago, a 27-year-old Pakistani immigrant Shehzad Luqman was also stabbed to death by these neo-Nazis, while numerous others have been seriously injured in the past years. And the police — many of whom are Golden Dawn supporters — are turning a blind eye as well. Now, after the immigrants’, it was Pavlos’ turn. And tomorrow? Whose will it be?
And how much longer will you be turning a blind eye?
Goodbye Pavlo.
And be sure… No Pasaran!

The murder of Pavlos Fyssas was a cold, calculated and planned attack by members of Golden Dawn in an attempt to regain 'control' of the streets after they had been repulsed by immigrant workers and anti-fascist activists in recent times. Two days before the murder of Fyssas, in a nearby area, a group of about 50 GD thugs attacked a group of KKE members who were putting up posters resulting in 9 KKE members being hospitalised.
The attack on Pavlos Fyssas was carried out in a coordinated action by three gangs of GD members with his murderer arriving on the scene in a car when Fyssas had been corralled by other GD members. Text messages have been produced that show the GD members planned to attack Fyssas as he left the cafeteria with his girlfriend. The member of GD who has been arrested is a brother of the local leader of GD and it is reported in the Greek media that he was on the GD payroll to be 'on call' for carrying out violent attacks on immigrants and left-wing activists (this is a common practice by GD).
The attack on Pavlos Fyssas took place in a central square in Keratsini in front of a large number of witnesses and four armed policemen who did nothing to prevent the attack. The accussed then phoned his wife before he was arrested and told her to remove all GD material from their home.
The murder of Pavlos Fyssas is the first murder of a left-wing activist by GD howeverm they have murdered several immigrant workers over the past period. The response to the murder of Fyssas has been huge. Tens of thousands demonstrated in the greater Pireas area and in many other cities across Greece. Protests were attakced by the police using tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades. Local defence committees to protect communities from fascist attacks have sprung up where they have not previously existed and anti-fascist activists are demanding that SYRIZA and the KKE take any active role in organising anti-fascist action (both have been accused of being 'fast asleep' as facist attacks have continued). There are good reasons to believe that Pavlos’ death will awaken many who might not realise how deadly serious the general situation is becoming in Greece.

DENDIAS ,the minister of public safety (law enforcement) ,a right wing politician, send a file to arios pagos ,the supreme court of greece , with all the criminal activities of GD members for the past year. he said that government's wish is that GD will declared a criminal organisation from the court and will be banned from the next elections. this seem to be only a thing for the tv viewers, because there is no solid proof that the nazi party is behind all the attacks,as an official strategy, although its members were the attackers.
the great majority of GD future voters are ex-ND voters (the governing right-wing party) so this a chance to regain some of them or disencourage them to vote for the nazis.
it is surprising to see that today, thursday, almost all the mainstream media were attacking the nazis and were full of revelations about their activities for the past months ,as all of this was fresh news, when anarchists-SYRIZA-ANTARSYA shout for the same nazi's crimes all this time.

Yes, thats what it is. Surprising. The Media just turned to good people, that want to fight the evil of nazism, after a year and a half of shamelessly promoting it through reverse psychology reports.
Or, maybe now its the time to promote even harder the "we condemn violence wherever it comes from" and "both end radicals should be condemned" with this occasion.
To each one according to its understanding capabilities...

also, a off-duty cop pulled a gun today at an anti-fascist demonstration and shot in the air:
Fascist pulls a gun and shoots ten times in the air at an anti-fascist demo in Dafni, Athens
UPDATE, 21:30. The person who pulled the gun, shot in the air and pointed it at the demonstrators is a police officer who was off-duty. He hid in a shop and was detained by other police. The man claimed to be “passing by” the local Golden Dawn office.

During an anti-fascist demo taking place in Athens for a third consecutive day, following the assassination of Pavlos Fyssas on Wednesday, a fascist pulled a gun against the crowd of approximately 500, in the Athenian suburb of Dafni. The fascist was chased by the crowd and is trapped inside a shop. Riot police have arrived.
