I made this account months ago and now this pop-up is telling me that it will be deleted if I don't make any posts so I'm gonna make a few. I don't really have an interesting background or anything. I'm not a "former Neo-Nazi" or a "young former Monarchist looking for a place in the world". I'm just a 27 year old white collar worker that registered an account here to help me with some questions I had when I was studying volume 1 of Capital(David Harvey's lectures helped me with that though).

Politically I guess I'm some sort of anti-dogmatic communist that leans towards Marxism. I agree with some things Anarchists say. I think there are a bunch of tendencies that have a lot right but no single one has a monopoly on the Truth™
.

Well that's it. Now you can't delete my account.

Hello. Welcome to the forum.. the pop up will bother you for a while more until you make a post/reply in one of the political fora. But no wories, we don't auto-delete so it will be months before I get round to have a clean up again... Relax and just weigh in when you see something you want to give your 2 cents on.

Hello! I don't know if you're new to leftism or not, but in case you are, have you read Friedrich Engel's Principles of Communism (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/11/prin-com.htm) and/or his Draft of a Communist Confession of Faith (http://www.marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/06/09.htm)? It's available at marxists.org (Marxists Internet Archive).

I'd recommend checking this out (MIA): Beginners Guide to Marxism (http://marxists.org/subject/students/index.htm) and Lenin's The Three Sources and Three Component Parts of Marxism (http://marxists.org/archive/lenin/works/1913/mar/x01.htm).

Also, here are a few books (PDFs) that are a good introduction to Marxism.

Marx: A Beginner's Guide (http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/fss/e8cf47710e69d334b5e9e87b31f39d5c/Collier+-+Marx+A+Beginners+Guide.pdf)

The Revolutionary Ideas of Karl Marx (http://o.aolcdn.com/hss/storage/fss/d82d1569f5dc8ef869a21aba711c0f88/Callinicos+-+Revolutionary+Ideas+of+Marx.pdf)

Are you interested in any particular tendency right now?

If you're not new, welcome! :)
