So, who all wants to move to Nova Scotia?
The land is cheap, the weather is some mild by Canadian standards, and everyone has funny accents (as emphasized by my quaint usage of "some"!).
There's a new shipyard opening up in Halifax, so we can all get jobs building warships for Canada's role as Jr. partner to U$ imperialism. No applicable skills? No problem, there's hella call centres. There are also several universities for the "Oh my god! I'm only 30! I'm too young for the workforce!" crowd.
It'll be great.

Does anyone else hear ominous music when they read "It'll be great"?

We should all just move to the Stormfront village (well, whatever). I think it would be much more entertaining to fuck up someone else's project than to try to build something like that ex nihilo.
I can see a Revleft commune being a kind of exponential Odd Couple-type situation, with white lines in the street separating the Trotskyist section from the Maoist section from the anarchist section. "You can come to our side for the post office if we can come to your side for the BDSM store."

Unfortunately for those who aren't Canadian, getting work legally is really effing tough.
But I'm a big fan of Nova Scotia.

Illegal work is vastly more profitable, we illegals must form a cartel.

Think that cartel could use a librarian/archivist?

Meh Nova Scotia? Can't we at least choose somewhere remote on Vancouver island or something? My grandma used to live in Holberg B.C. a small shitty little logging town on the northern peak of the island with about 50 inhabitants, but in recent years its become a ghost town. Maybe we could all just move in there and take over the buildings.
