As the sun creeps slowly back into the distance, in autumn the gods bring us our modern cornucopia, usually projected against a flat-screen display.

OK, enough of that. Of course Breaking Bad and Dexter have already started and are getting close to their series finales. I recommend that anyone who hasn't watched Breaking Bad do so soon, before it ends and plot points are inevitably spoiled. (Anyone who only started watching The Sopranos after it was over probably knows how hard it is to avoid spoilers about the ending.) Futurama aired its final episode last night, which I haven't seen yet; The Killing just finished its third season.

I also really like Luther, which also recently delivered its third season before I even knew it, but there are tons of problems with its attitudes about crime - although probably no more so than Dexter, really. It's just more persuasive in its arguments. I'm still going to see the movie, as well as the Entourage movie which is in production.

Here's what else I'm looking forward to and when it's coming out:

American Dad, Season 10, starts September 29th.
American Horror Story, Season 3, starts October 9th.
Boardwalk Empire, Season 4, starts September 8th.
Eastbound & Down, Season 4, starts September 29th.
Homeland, Season 3, starts September 29th.
Person of Interest, Season 3, starts September 24th.
Revolution, Season 2, starts September 25th. (Very misleading title.)
South Park, Season 17, starts September 25th.
Treme, Season 4, doesn't start until December 1st.
The Walking Dead, Season 4, starts October 13th.

Also, I think it's been at least two years since I bought a video game, but I'm pretty sure I'll cop the new GTA when it comes out September 17th.

Feel free to let me know if I've missed anything essential, or ask me to explain why I don't think I'm a counter-revolutionary for listing any of the shows above. But when it comes to spoilers, tread lightly. (If you don't get that, you should follow my advice in the second paragraph.)
