This is a thread where you can post good news when you get it :)
I'll start. I got 100 on my AP psych summer work, so that was pretty cool.

Congratulations on the grade!
It is a bit telling that no one has posted anything on this thread yet.No one has any good news?

My friend has managed to land a job. Two jobs in fact (IT), so there is even the luxury of choice.
Another friend has found a nice apartment to rent out which will lower here rent costs for about 33%.
Yeah, not really about me, but still it's as if it is.

Anyone else think this was going to be about the bible?
OK, well, yesterday there was a spontaneous demo against the eviction of my buddy's house (it was evicted in an early morning police assault) - probably about 50 people turned out (not bad for no notice, and in a neighbourhood that's not central). By the time of the demo, somebody had printed fliers, explaining the situation, and calling for a bigger demo on Monday night. We had incredible support throughout the neighbourhood, with people coming out of shops and houses to cheer us on and shout insults at police.

Well on a political front I've officially recruited my first member to the CWI, it feels pretty good. I now have a comrade in shit hole central Canada.
In other news the guy I'm a support worker for will be participating in the special Olympics so that's really cool. We're going to be lots of training for hockey and baseball soon. I was never much of a ball player but I was always a pretty good hockey player growing up, so hopefully I can be of some help to him.

I have sort of good news.
At church my sister and I always used to be expected to sing a duet at Christmas which pissed me off not only as an atheist, but because I had to sing the soprano part since my voice is higher than my sister's, which made me feel dysphoric and gross. But this year my sister might not be home from school with enough time for us to practice, so my mother asked some teenage girls she works with in the youth worship team if they would sing it this year. So I don't have to do it anymore and hopefully by next Christmas I will not be in PA anymore. (Well, I'm trying to make that happen by this January...)
Except the bad news is last year I told my mother how much it bothered me that I had to do the duet and she said I needed to do it because "it makes people happy" which makes it seem like it doesn't matter at all if I'm happy and it didn't change because of me at all.

For me, some good news is that Ace High started an important thread, and RedBen and I were not alone in giving out rep.
