Over the years ive read quite a bit about crimethinc. On one hand, I find their art beautiful and I feel that they are a wonderful group of people as far as an individual goes (Like after reading their books I feel like painting something or building a kooky bike)
Still the decentralized coop does nothing for the poor of this country and has no revolutionary potential. I have nothing against Anarchist Lifestylism but I feel it has to be supplemented by real revoltutionary ideals.
What are your opinions?

Sometimes they're very liberal, sometimes they are very revolutionary. I believe I myself started a thread asking the se question when I first joined revleft.
I personally haven't noticed that there is anything by them I particularly like, but nothing I particularly don't like.

Their graphics at least are pretty cool (look up "always play with a full deck crimethinc" in google images. That's one of my favorite). Their politics can be sometimes iffy.

CrimethInc makes for a lot better read than Socialist Alternative material.

they more or less abandoned and apologized for their lifestylism a few years ago and have been focusing on more coherent projects/ideas, or at least that was the state they were in last time i checked which was awhile ago.

Unfortunately, CrimethInc. went from Lifestylism to Insurrectionism with only a very brief time in between with which to publish decent political materials.
That said, "Expect Resistance" and "Work" are both great introductory anticapitalist works, combining clear inventive writing, beautiful layout, and a broad simplicity that avoids the pitfalls of ideological hairsplitting that are too common on the left (neither book will provide you with a detailed analysis of the Soviet Union). If every teenager were gifted copies, it would be for the better.
Issue eight of Rolling Thunder is also pretty decent.
As for less overtly political material, I absolutely love "Off The Map" - the adorable journals of two young women hitch hiking in Europe. It manages to avoid everything that made "On The Road" utter garbage.
