I don't have a good net connection right now which is why I am posting like this and cannot give actual youtube links because this computer cannot handle loading youtube anymore but musicians that have individual expansive ambient spacey songs, radiohead has one song I forget which one (I hate radiohead but like that song), bjork has some ambient songs like 'headphones' and there are a ton of really neat remixes for all of her songs, some of them are more dancey others are ambient but the version of the song from the album telegram is pretty good.


there is also a website divided into several categories (whales, storms, etc..) called 'we are listening' and one has actual space sounds http://www.spacesounds.com/ I know that's a bit of a stretch for what you're probably looking for but some of the sounds have that eerie expansive void quality to them.

interestingly enough, the single player game from the 90's 'Unreal' came with a game soundtrack cd which I still have and it had some kind of spacey ambiance to it
