One of the biggest issues facing workers who are struggling for a better world is feeling alone or isolated in their thoughts and actions. The lack of communication among workers, even in workplaces that have a strong labor union presence, holds us back from fighting and winning.

With the launch of the Worker-Communist, we are opening our pages to workers through our new column, called Off the Clock. This department will highlight the questions being discussed and the events taking place on the job through first-person stories in workers own words.

As an open forum, any working person is welcome to submit stories and reports, regardless of whether they see themselves as communists or support the Workers Party. This includes submissions from workers in other self-described radical and revolutionary organizations; even though we may be in different groups, we are facing the same class enemy and can learn from each other.

Submissions to Off the Clock should be short (500 words or less) and to the point. If youve never really written before, members of our editorial staff can work with you to create an article or report. There is no special formatting needed a short e-mail is enough for us.

You can send your articles and stories to us at: WPA, P.O. Box 96503, PMB 59359, Washington, DC 20090-6503, or by e-mail to [email protected] You can also call us at (800) 569-0747 or (313) 444-4775 and tell us whats happening so we can submit your report.

We look forward to reading your submitted reports and articles, and hearing your opinions.
