Tacoma's Occupation Park in Washington State was located in the heart of downtown Tacoma, a working-class port city in the northwest corner of the USA. It was one of the country's longest-lasting occupations. Local residents were generally quite friendly and supportive of this occupation, and the City of Tacoma took a hands-off approach to us. Eventually, the State of Washington evicted Occupy Tacoma from the park.
The video shows the last speech given at Tacoma's Occupy Park. By the time this speech was given, many of the occupiers had left. It was quite cold and there had been gusty winds, sleet, and snow just days before. In a separate post below, I will post a picture of Tacoma's Occupation Park, based on a photo taken shortly before the eviction.
