I'm an Autonomous Marxist, First Generation Italian, and looking to return to Italy.
Io parlo Italiano piu o meno, am taking Intensive Russian and then Intensive Italian in [American] University (along with not hardcore German because too many intensives is Bourgeois Decadence). Interested in Linguistics which I think I'm going to major in, and really like history too. I hope to maybe write political satire or theory or something, really anything to spread a Communist Message.
I might serve in the Army [Esercito], but that's not so much for ideological reasons as it's I'll need a job to counter-act the debt I'm taking on and am good in sports and feel the need to legitimize living in Italy since I'm first generation as opposed to born in Italy. Weird concept for a Leftist I guess but we all have our eccentricities when it comes to rationale. I only bring it up because I hope to post regularly in the Sport Forum once I get to school (I'm living across the street from one of the sports centers) and people might want to understand why I'm always talking about camping, hiking, etc.
I was drawn to Leftist Thought partially because my grandfather was slightly involved with la Resistenza so he instilled some of the basic thoughts in me at a young age. I hope to get involved in my University years, maybe found an infoshop or radical paper if I can find some like-minded people. That's a little about me, glad to have found RevLeft because the alternative was Reddit Socialism.
