Until about two days ago, I never would have imagined I'd sign up here...I was a committed anarchocapitalist. Then I read some stuff on Mao.
It was attractive. Growing up on a farm, I have always held agrarian views and been distrustful of those who had never done manual labor.
Opportunity may allow me to take over the management of a large farm in the northern midwest. I am thinking about carving out an agrarian village from the land, one that holds to my views. I put this in OI because there are significant departures from orthodox M-Lism.
I stand with the right on many social issues, but usually for different reasons. For example, I see the popularization of abortion as an outgrowth of consumer culture: "This baby is inconvenient to me, so I will throw it away." I am willing to discuss other stances on social issues, but I'm afraid they will get me banned. In any case, I absolutely despise identity politics. I'm not interested in diversity of culture; I seek to forge a superior culture.
I also disbelieve in the historical determinism of M-Lism. I think the industrial revolution has been a vast, unnecessary mistake. I do not believe in M-List "progress," I believe politics can move in any direction in any combination. I do not believe the future holds a socialist utopia.
I am attracted to Mao's agrarianism (or at least his celebration of the peasant), populism, and the corollary distrust of predatory elites, whether of capitalist or communist persuasion.
One thing I do have faith in is the imminent (on a historical scale) collapse of global capitalism. Revolution is unnecessary. The entitlement mentality will break most 1st world governments.
But anyway, my idea is to create a village where the property is essentially held in common, and technology is generally shunned. I was thinking about instituting polygyny, as befits expansionist and militaristic policies. I plan on being quiet and law abiding until the collapse of the global capitalist system, and then gaining popular support through the suppression of banditry, food aid, and education in post-collapse survival.
Basically, Amish -bible +guns
So that's the gist of what I've been thinking over the last couple of days. I'm interested to hear the reaction of those on this board.

Until about two days ago, I never would have imagined I'd sign up here...I was a committed anarchocapitalist. Then I read some stuff on Mao.why start with reading Mao? everything from Lenin down is pseudo-Marxist totalitarianism a la 1984.
Opportunity may allow me to take over the management of a large farm in the northern midwest. I am thinking about carving out an agrarian village from the land, one that holds to my views. I put this in OI because there are significant departures from orthodox M-Lism.I am happy for you, work the land and be happy.
I stand with the right on many social issues, but usually for different reasons. For example, I see the popularization of abortion as an outgrowth of consumer culture: "This baby is inconvenient to me, so I will throw it away."If you dislike abortion, then provide a useful alternative. support systems for mothers who have no support from the father's of their children, educate youth regarding sexual activities, education for parents.
I am willing to discuss other stances on social issues, but I'm afraid they will get me banned. In any case, I absolutely despise identity politics. I'm not interested in diversity of culture; I seek to forge a superior culture. Are they actual stances or stubborn biases? a "superior" culture? do you presume yourself to be god? do you assume we require your divine benevolence to guide us to righteousness? very horrible things have been done by very horrible people under the banner of "social cleansing."
I also disbelieve in the historical determinism of M-Lism. I think the industrial revolution has been a vast, unnecessary mistake. I do not believe in M-List "progress," I believe politics can move in any direction in any combination. I do not believe the future holds a socialist utopia.utopia is defined as "any real or imaginary society, place, state, etc., considered to be perfect or ideal yet impractical or impossible" while it is very clear that capitalism is very impractical with it producing poverty, economic subjugation and concentrating economic value into a small plutocratic class. capitalism is a utopia for the rich, enforced via social engineering, law and use of value-distorting monetary medium (money).
I am attracted to Mao's agrarianism (or at least his celebration of the peasant), populism, and the corollary distrust of predatory elites, whether of capitalist or communist persuasion.you should be attracted to the truth and study Marxism from the source, making your own determinations.
One thing I do have faith in is the imminent (on a historical scale) collapse of global capitalism. Revolution is unnecessary. The entitlement mentality will break most 1st world governments.the 'entitlement' mentality only exists in the rich. they believe that 'ownership' of 'assets' defer their obligation to work.
But anyway, my idea is to create a village where the property is essentially held in common, and technology is generally shunned. I was thinking about instituting polygyny, as befits expansionist and militaristic policies. I plan on being quiet and law abiding until the collapse of the global capitalist system, and then gaining popular support through the suppression of banditry, food aid, and education in post-collapse survival.having multiple wives, when you aren't content with having just one. so, you're interested in starting a cult? brilliant (sarcasm).
Basically, Amish -bible +gunsstop watching Amish mafia. its fake.
So that's the gist of what I've been thinking over the last couple of days. I'm interested to hear the reaction of those on this board. if you have any genuine interest in economic theory and why capitalism is an illegitimate economic system, i want to share with you the fact that the real economic process is the converting of raw resources into usable materials and items. and that this basic process does not require markets, money, nor the rich. and lastly, we do not require money to understand the merit of our deeds.

I'd say skip Mao and read up on Joseph Smith. Polygamy shouldn't be a problem, if you keep it on the down low.

Yes brilliant, lets shun medical technology that could save lives, but gather as many guns as we can (so long as those guns weren't build with technology of course, right?)
You sound a lot like one of those "preppers".

Greetings. I am BetaTroll151.
I want to establish a community on an island where by we kinda all get along, but really I just wanna tell people what to do. I believe that this is somewhat similar to communism. But I'm not really a leftist because I don't believe in directions. Left, right, center, you know these are all arbitrary forms of space orientation? I think that's oppressive so I want to liberate myself and create a superior culture with a small group of people on my island.
Just sayin. What do you all think? Would the random community on this internet forum be interested in my idea?

Sounds fine and dandy, but the real important question is: what is your stance on the international effects of the Sino-Alabanian split of 1978?

Reminds me of the Munster Anabaptists (although they were urban-based) who are theological cousins of the Amish anyways. Surprised he hasn't been restricted tho'...
