Hi guys. I'm a high-school aged kid from your stereotypical redneck, backwards Texas town. And when I say backwards, I mean BACKWARDS. "fags", as the locals around here say, are considered slightly below human status and a tad bit above satanic filth. Everyone is in the tea party and I'm 90 percent sure we've had a well attended KKK meeting or two back in the 90's. (wasn't around back then. Going by word of mouth on that one.)
So now that you know what I am dealing with here, I'll bore y'all (yes, I say y'all a lot, and over use parentheses.) with some info on me. I am a closet socialist of sorts, I saw the way even moderate democrats were treated at my school let alone an actual socialist. My parents are moderate dems but are pretty scared of socialism and already have suspicions that I'm a commie after finding the Communist Manifesto on my I-Pad. Managed to blow it off but still don't want my cover getting blown for the foreseeable future.
I'm not extremely well versed in many of the theory aspects of socialism but love to read and love to learn! (I guess I'm not your typical adolescent male.)
To sum up my intro I detest the way capitalism enslaves people with low wages and no way for advancements in your station, love tennis, the total war game series, LSU football, the rockets and Rammstein!

P.S- If it's too long and boring my bad I get carried away sometimes

Welcome to the board! There's a lot of folks here in similar situations.

Check out the Learning forum. Also please do use the Search tools. Often people have questions or interests that there are already threads about and might be being discussed at this very moment.

Q, the usual greeter of new folks here, is away for a few days, but if you have questions you can message him or feel free to message me. Glad you found the board!
