...One who wants to begin participating in discussions rather than just stalking them. :D
I'm a Marxist who (besides Lenin) considers himself influenced by Leon Trotsky, Daniel DeLeon, Mansoor Hekmat, Karl Kautsky and others although I'm not uncritical of any of them. Anti-austerity organizing and solving the problem of principled communist unity are two of my biggest points of focus. I'm a member of the New Communist Party of America. Oh, and I've tried to quit smoking three times, failed, and desperately wish I could blame my failure on capitalism.
Sorry this intro is so dry, but thanks for reading anyway!
Welcome :)
If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!
If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.
And NCPA? The Sputnikists? :p
I've wondered if it is a real organisation or just an internet group. As someone who is following the CPGB-related politics closely, I'm very interested in that development :)

I would definitely say we're a real group, although we are still small with just one developed branch in the Iowa Corridor and proto-branches in Central and South Florida. The lion
s share of our "external" activity is anti-austerity work and the development of Marxist discussion circles. The latter is technically an internal sort of thing as it's the way we do political education for members, but we conduct it open to the public and with an emphasis on challenging, debating and even submitting alternative materials rather than having new members sit patiently and digest the "line."
That damn sputnik in the logo is starting to be more trouble than it's worth, I swear!

I don't know what came over me. It doesn't even really make sense.
What the hell would a cereal lurker even be?

But like from a distance, trying to make sure the weetabix doesn't see them.

Slightly drooling at the mouth, with a lustful look in their eyes- their eyes which you can only see when they rarely stop looking through their binoculars.

Hey good to have you!
Would you mind telling your buddies to change their name? Another group uses it and it might get awfully confusing later on!
