I have had this account open for exactly 100 days and haven't logged in once. Today was the day that I decided to fully register it, and get serious about networking with some of the most dope-ass revolutionaries in the world.

I have been a lurker on this website for almost three years, and I am very much looking forward to affiliating myself with the lot of you. The truth is, I used to be very intimidated by most of the content that was posted here. There were too many words that I didn't understand, too many thinkers, and a superabundance of tendencies. I've always considered myself an anarchist, but I never really knew exactly what that meant, nor the concepts behind the ideology. And it blew my mind just how many variations of anarchist thought exist.

Now, all these years later, I consider myself an anarchist-communist, who is mildly well read, though no where near being as well read as I want to be. I hope to read quite a bit more Marx before this year ends, though I imagine that Capital might take me considerably longer than four months, if I truly wish to grasp its scope.

Anyway, I'm Uccello, which means 'bird', in Italian. I live in the U.S. - Florida, but was born and raised in New York. I am a part time assistant nurse at a big hospital, a student at a local community college, and an aspiring revolutionary. After high school, I worked for a year as a construction worker, doing electrical and carpentry. After that, I worked for a little over a year in a warehouse. I tried to kill myself recently, but luckily I failed. This event caused me to rediscover the good in life, and I recently became a CNA (certified nursing assistant) to spread the love. Also, it prompted me to get back into politics. The stark realization that if I died, the neoliberal imperialist fucks would win, motivated me to actually want to help change the world for the better.

Also, I like playing music and always have. If there wasn't such a need for the destruction of the capitalist system, work, and school, I would probably move to Argentina, start a coffee cooperative, and play guitar all day with friends. :)

Thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this, and I hope that in time I can come to know you guys better as well.

Welcome! I am also an anarchist that lives in Florida. Where in Florida are you from?
If you need any help with Capital, don't hesitate to PM me or we can read together on skype or whatever works, I am not quite as good as some of the Marxists here but I can find my way out of a theoretical paper bag I suppose.

Welcome. I've also lurked on and off for a very long time. I also self identify as an anarcho-communist when forced to choose.

I'm glad to hear you're feeling more positive about life and found reasons to live and fight. =)

You mentioned Argentina. I've entertained wild thoughts of going to Uruguay myself.
