It is a shame that this is relatively isolated and that it is still too easy to turn a blind eye in the west.

This recent act follows on the heals of several factory disasters: http://llco.org/hundreds-dead-tragedy-in-bangladesh/

burning down factories in bangladesh has been a tactic of striking workers there for awhile before the most recent disasters as well.

I respect the act of protest, detest the tactic. Wouldn't it be more useful to occupy the space and wait for the owners financial collapse....

A burned factory is one that has to be rebuilt later... But shoot, it is still gratifying what they did!!

the conditions really aren't present in 'the west' for that to be honest. it would take a severe decline in working conditions for people to start burning shit, so it's not really right to hold it against western workers.
