I am a captalist. I will list the problems in the system that I belive in:-

1. Image in the us people think that everyone is rich. Wrong there is a large community that is not and that is homless.

2. We expolit africa and prevent it from getting off its feet. I am not a bank owner but they say that they shouden't get rid of the debt because if they said that you could do that with them then other people will say why not with us.

3. We give them nothing and fix prices. We are cruel. In the potato famine in Ireland in 18 whenver it was we did not give them corn because of are own political and money gain. They were repealed only because of morraly pressure and the industrial leaders saying that they were loosing money. We would let people die rather than help them.

There are good points but I don't like the bad.

Don't forget South America and the ever so stubborn Trade Embargo with Cuba.

Why don't you try socialism for a while? It's much better the capitalism I can, assure you.

Mmmm Classless. Gotta love it.

Add to the list of problems the exploitation of workers in third world countries such as Indonesia, Bangladesh and China.

Dread, a classless society would be brilliant, share in the dream Mclaren.

A classless society, yes just to think about it makes me happy.
The good points only effect the US citizens too so the bad effects 95% of the worlds population. Where's democracy when you need it.

Yeah, but dont forget South America and South-east Asia, etc.
Also it's not just the debt that is the problem. That is a major factor, but Structural Adjustment Programmes forced on the Third World by the IMF cause even more poverty by focusing resources on producing cash crops and profit; while forcing nations into cutting back even further on health care, education, etc. Also the system is set up so multinationals and First World countries benefit over and above the Third World countries, through exploitation of workers and resources and causing price wars between countries exporting the same cash crops (therefore bringing prices down and down for the West).

It's also interesting to note that we do have the resources at the moment to feed everyone in the world, but we do not distribute food in a way that will erradicate poverty. We put profit first...obviously:-(
