Sorry for probably repeating a question that's been asked a thousand times, but can anyone recommend any good books, either written by anti-pornography people espousing it, or others critiquing it? I tried to search on revleft for similar threads, but all I could think of to type was Anti-Pornography, which didn't get any results.

Apologies again for the stupid question, and thanks in advance.

John Stoltenberg's Refusing To Be A Man goes in to it to some degree.
Andrea Dworkin, generally held up as the anti-porn feminist touches on it briefly in Intercourse, generally understood to be her magnum opus. Interestingly, Intercourse is otherwise pretty brilliant, and largely caricatured in popular discourse (it's pretty explicitly "in" - though maybe that's a phrasing she'd reject ;)1 - to the possibilities of sex).

bumping for interest. i'm interested in decent intellectual arguments against, or at least critical of pornography, especially from the perspective of gender, capitalism, patriarchy and the porn industry. the mainstream anti-arguments i've encountered have generally come from people involved with religion (i.e. many ex-porn stars that have 'found god' and used religion to overcome trauma) - just to say, i wouldn't criticize people for finding themselves in such a position and a lot of the anecdotal evidence some of these people provide is useful in interpreting the question of pornography. furthermore, much of the pro-discourse doesn't seem to look past the basic notions of pornography merely being images of consenting adults - i find the whole question to be far more complex.

any help would be appreciated. i'm gonna do some writing on this myself when i stop being so lazy.

Really late reply and I don't know if you found what you were looking for, but I recommend John Stoltenberg again and also Nina Power's One Dimensional Woman for an interesting feminist and anti-capitalist perspective. I can send PDFs of both your way if you want.
