You have no idea how many times I've tried.

My stuff sounds like ear poison.

Yeah well its not easy but you should try, even if its just the lyrics you write yourself, its much better than just playing someone elses music/lyrics.

Sometimes it helps to write a song with someone else, two heads are better than one right!?

Maybe you will be inspired too ;)

You go and buy one.Right now. :P

Bass playing may sound stupid and that is all these new crappy bassists fault. But when you are listening bassists(gods) like Jaco Pastorius,Marcus Miller or Victor Wooten, you cant stop.

F7 is my favorite...

If you are looking for guitar tabs you should try www.olga.net (http://www.olga.net), they have pretty much any tab you can possibly want...

And if you want lyrics I suppose you could just check my "(S)aint's crappy poems thread", in the Chit Chat Forum...

Dmin dim. 7th is mine, but anyway if you want to get lyrics and tab just run searches and get GuitarPro for more common tabs. If you want to write your own, learn some theory...basic chord proggresions and variations. Once you have that add your own twist, like certain inversions. Get your lyrics first if you aren't very good, and fit music to it because it is easy once you know simple theory. Even if you don't write with some one, have someone verify choices you make, and do it a lot as well..if you can improvise songs when mashed, you will love doing it sober and working at them.

Try google for tabs man, I am sure I came across Propaghandhi tabs via google, well I managed to download the tabs for Fuck Religion so I came across them somewhere.

There should be tabs for other bands like Anti-flag here. (http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/)

My buddy is good friends with Jaco and I think he also knows Victor Wooten, he's the black guy with dreads right ?

Dude, I hate to tell you, but a band playing nothing but cover songs is going to suck. It doesn't take all that much skill to right punk rock songs, well, it takes skill to right good punk, but you can easily throw 4 or 5 chords into whatever order you want and at least sound tolerable.

Oh yeah, for punk tabs go to punkhardcore.com They're the best.

www.mxtabs.net for all your guitaring needs. It's very good.

writing lyrics will get easier the more you do it as does anything, don't try and force just write when you inspired, keep it all in a note book so you can have all your ideas in one place.

I never understood why people describe their favourite chords in terms of the note, e.g. Bmin& or Asus4add9 or whatever, it doesn't make sense but anyway thats neither here nor there.

First up, practice is the key, you can't simply be great without any practice, that applies to your personal musicianship and that of your band.

Secondly, some suggested mxtabs, this sites OK, but I would recommend downloading guitar pro4 from kazaa (if you dont have kazaa pm me and ill send you it). Esentially guitar 4 has accurate tabs with notation, which it also plays back for you, you can also compose music on it. To get guitar pro tabs go to www.mysongbook.com

Thirdly, remember that music should always come before lyrics, I'm not a huge fan of lyrics atall and wouldn't recommend political lyrics because they always end up sounding too cliche.

Finally get a teacher, if you can't afford or arrange lessons, then try to use as many sources to develop your playing as possible. You can always ask on here for any help with you music or playing whiuch some of us should be able to help with.
