Greetings to any and all who care to read this. I frequented this site a few years back (though my presence here was merely as a lurker) and after a brief hiatus I have decided to return and make my existence known.

A little blurb about myself: I'm a 27 year-old wage slave with a passion for firearms that borders on the erotic. I've been an unaffiliated, though ardent supporter, of Anti-Racist Action since I was 15. Politically I consider myself to be an individualist anarchist. That is to say I've yet to find a particular school of anarchism that fully resonates with me. I believe that governments are inherently oppressive and not necessary for a society to thrive. As such I am fervently anti-theist as I consider religion and government to be two sides of the same coin.

Not sure where else to take this thing so I guess I will just rely on the old fallback: if you've got questions, fire away.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

How is the left at your place?

Welcome! I suppose we can use you as an example when right-wingers say us left-wingers hate guns and want to take them away, hehehe.

Hey, welcome, I like your philosophy. If people just understand the simple philosophy that the government and religious institutions are inherently oppressive, that's when we have progress. Enjoy the forums.

Thank you for your welcomes.

The left at my place? I live in one of the most Conservative states in the US so there isn't much of a left-leaning presence to speak of. I am, however, noticing evidence of some far right activity in my area so it might be time to pull the old steel-toes out of the closet.

Well, the Democrips certainly seem to be a gun-grabbing crowd by and large. Not that they will ever be able to fully disarm the populace. Most of the people I know who share my political views recognize that any meaningful change can only come through bloodshed. "They" are well armed so it behooves "us" to be as well.

Well that's the Democrats, not the left. They're wrong about the left since they seem to assume the left is the Democratic party. Silly Americans, having such a narrow view of politics; there's more than just liberal and conservative!

You have a borderline erotic fixation with guns?

By the way, individualist anarchism is a school of anarchism.

It's the name of one of my favorite movies.

They're certainly more effective. Anyone who thinks the State will be toppled via voting is deluding themselves. As the saying goes: if voting could change anything it would be illegal.
