Operation GLADIO NATOs abhorrent post WWII strategy of secretly carrying out terrorist attacks and blaming them on communists, has resurfaced and brought the Government of Luxembourg to its knees.

On Wednesday Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker announced his resignation after a parliamentary committee concluded that his administration had lost control over the countrys intelligence service, SREL (Service de Renseignement de ltat du Luxembourg), a rogue entity that has been bugging senior politicians, illegally spying on citizens and generally operating above the law for decades.

Juncker is accused of turning the other cheek enabling the agency to continue unimpeded despite knowledge of criminal activity. Not one agent or employee has been brought to justice and Juncker only became cooperative when it was no longer possible to prosecute those responsible. The scandal boiled over after a bugged conversation was leaked in which Juncker and the SREL implicated NATO in a series of 1980s terrorist attacks.

The Bommeleer Affr involved 20 or so bombings that plunged the quiet and peaceful country in to a state of fear, and forced the Government to adopt a stringent defense policy.

Its truly chilling how the authorities now admit that these operations happened, have told the public, and no-one seems to give a shit. Apathy and alienation reigns supreme.

"Now" admitting? You mean the early 1990s.

Well we always "knew" but not the scope, most focus has always been on gladio in Italy and Greece but where in the former more attention went to the mob ties than the fascist terrorist angle and in the latter everything got buried with the fall of the junta. Only now the real scope of gladio in places like the Netherland, Belgium and turkey is coming out.
It's fascinating reading, just look up operation gladio on Wikipedia and from that read further into loge p2 and the strategy of tension/years of lead (italy), the deepstate (turkey) and the "bende van nijvel" and "westland newpost" (belgium).
