My friend is in a band called #1 Defender (formerly called Brody). They're based in Ashford, Kent so I doubt you'll have heard of them, but if you do come across them somehow (they're planning to tour sometime) then check them out!

Their Website (http://thedefenderfightson.co.uk/)

Brody ? What ? You know those guys ? I know those guys, assuming it's the same band. Are they like really popular in Japan ?

Anyway, if it's the same band I've hung out with a couple of those guys like 4 times.

its called emocore, not emo hardcore

bands such as Poison the Well play this type of music

They call themselves emo hardcore, if anything. Talk to them if you have complaints, jesus. I don't really give a shit about genres to be honest.

And I don't think they're that Brody, there are loads of Brodies apparently.

Hmmm, maybe not. I know they play emocore and they are getting really popular, they should be signed within a month. But I thought they were from Washington state, not England. So no, probably a different band.

#1 defender's new EP (The Diary Truthful EP) is awesome, absolutely gorgeous stuff. I'll let you know when you can buy it and where from! At the moment I've got one of only 10 copies!

well they're only planning on a UK tour to begin with, I think. but the website's got mp3's you can download. It's a pity my fave track isn't available, but I've only heard the newest EP anyway.

Erm...no they don't.

Screamo is Saetia.

Poison the Well metalcore come mall metal.

Genres are overrated but cool.

What time did you leave on Sunday Harriet?? Did you see ThexBreakxin own everyone??

No, I left at the beginning of the break, Andy wanted to walk me back but didn't want to miss too much of the other bands. it's a pity I didn't get to talk to you more, it's been a long time. You enjoy it?

What did you think of November Coming Fire?

I kinda preferred them @ The Swan last month. Everyone was knackered after The Break in so it was kinda chilled until the legendary "Transgression" pileon. Speaking of which:

heheheh.

NCF's record's one of the best to come out of this country in ages...I didn't really dig Urotsukidoji (who I think had NCF members) but these guys are shithot. If a little fashioncore hahaha.

well, I see Poison the Well as emocore, due to their lyrics, as do others
they are fully qualified to be classified as emocore along with Alexisonfire and Funeral For A Friend

Y'know Andy's bro is in NCF! Glad you like 'em, wish I could have stayed. Did you get my email?

Yah I've dug NCF since they came out. My mate's their webmaster. Nice guys too, well, @ the Swan at least, the merch guy seemed to have an issue with me on Sunday and they lacked the crazy barefoot bassist this time around. Is Andy the lad in the wheelchair who did melodic vocals?? I know one of NCF works in Richards Records (which, incidentally, is a million times better than I remember...I found the Lack record in there after like a year of searching).

I hate to be a bore, but that's a leftist's perrogative (http://www.fourfa.com).

I saw a band called Brody Punk from the U.S. on their English tour, same band?

mentalbunny

No not the same band, #1 defender are English.

GR, yeah, that's Andy. And George, one of the gituarists, with blond hair, works in Richard's.
