Hello all, I am an 18 year old from the Northeastern United States. I am currently unemployed, but looking for work when not prowling the internet :D. Otherwise, I am attending cc this fall, and still living at home(I know, looser). Anyhow, I came here do to my interest in Marxist thought, spurred on a few years ago by Jack London, who remains one of my favorite authors. My main political ideals is centered around protecting and promoting the good of the working man, against the interests of the elites. I am also interested in history psychology and mythology I hope I fit in alright here.

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

How is the left scene like at your place?

Greetings from the town of Jack London. Before he was a famous author he was known as "the Boy Socialist" of Oakland and was arrested for "speaking without permission of the Mayor" while soapboxing on litterally the same location where Oaklanders were arrested and attacked by cops for "camping without permission of the Mayor" during Occupy Oakland.

His socialist writing are very interesting, exciting, and contradictory (racism). Although there are many problems with that era of US socialism, there was also a certain kind of excitment and optomism that I think we should try and draw more from today.
