red flag over teeside

I know that not many people on Revleft will give much support to the recent so called Peoples Assemblies which was instigated by the Coalition of Resistance and Counterfire. But from what I've read on other sites the initial turnout in London wasn't to bad 4,000 or so with an atmosphere of resistance in the audience. Given that there are upcoming local PA does anyone think that it would be useful getting involved with them?
Personally I think that the PA's are a left reformist attempt to reorganise those activists under one umbrella who are not aligned to any left organisation. Rather than a genuine expression of resistance however confused from a large section of the working class.
