It's the real 100th edition this year and looks like it'll be a classic. The stages on Mont Ventoux and Alpe d'Huez stand out but lots of the others could be exciting too.

Froome is the clear favourite to be in yellow at the end and the question is really whether anyone will be able to break down the monotonous sky train trudge to paris. Contador has so far not shown any form to match that of Froome but he tends to come alive for the tour so who knows. Valverde, Rodriguez, Schleck (very unlikely), and Porte are names floating around, as well as whoever out of Evans or Van Garderen ends up as leader of BMC.

The green jersey looks like it will be a two horse race between Cavendish and Sagan, both different riders and both with elements of the race suited to them.

I'm also hoping Quintana impresses in the mountains and continues the return of Colombia as a cycling power.

Does anyone here care?

After Indurain the tour is no exitement at all, specially when everyone is high as fuck on EPO and the real game is not to get cought in the anti-dopping test.

I'm not sure Indurain was very exciting really, in many ways he was the first Bradley Wiggins: dominant in the time trials and able to keep everyone in check in the mountains. And I really doubt (http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/report-indurain-and-banesto-were-conconi-clients) he was clean.

Most cyclists aren't doping anymore, I imagine a fair few are but it will be different to the traditional EPO regiments which are being caught out more and more. You can look at the times that riders are getting up the big mountains now, they are nothing close to the times that others were hitting in the late 90s/early 2000s and there's an obvious reason why.
