Answer me this. Why do you think that so many countries hate the U.S.A. so much that they would sacrifice there lives for its destruction.

They hate Freedom !! They are lazy Communist assholes !!! They are jealous of everything we have !! That should about cover the answers.
Despite the fact that the reality is much different, to say everyone hates the US because of jealously is plain foolishness and simple minded. Foriegn policy is the major factor, as I don't think those who "hate" the United States in Europe are any worse off than most in the United States and are just as "free".

the same reason many poor people would love to see gates, or trump, fall, the guy on top is always hated because he is where everyone else wants to be, think king of the mountain
and theyre taught that were responsible for their short comings, not the fact that their societies are completly backward in tersm of acceptance of change and change is what is required to get to where the US is, most ME countries were cesspools long before the US even came into existance
I don't think those who "hate" the United States in Europe are any worse off than most in the United States and are just as "free".
and our just as easily lead into brainwashing as those in ME, they want so badly to see their competition fall they will beleive everything we do is wrong and overlook their own problems
the US supporting Iraq in the 80s was wrong, the US giving saddam weapons was wrong
were simply correcting our mistakes
france supporting Iraq in the 80s was wrong, france giving Iraq nuclear technology was wrong
theyre simply over-looking what they did and bashing us for fixing it
russia supporting Iraq in the 80s was wrong, russia selling iraq weapons far into the 90s was wrong
theyre mad cause we took away a major trading partner and a HUGE oil contract

If only it were that simple. But the simple fact is that while you may be jealous of those with more, and indeed many in the United States are quite jealous of Mr. Gates, how many have tried to blow him up?
Clearly there is more going on than simple jealousy.
The British live practically as well as the average American, but no one has tried to crash a plane in Westminister, neither has anyone attacked France or Canada or Germany.
As difficult as it may be to accept the United States government has a clear and definite record of interfering with foreign governments, overthrowing democratically elected leaders, and imposing an economic structure across the world.

I think the reason everyone wants the Americans destroyed is their arrogance.
Everytime someone attacks them they show their blatant arrogance: "Ohh, well, the reason they hate us is because we're special and because we're richer than them" , they seem to think that all those invasions, bombings, and military coups have nothing to do with it.

No, but no one is talking about morality. The question was why the United States is so hated.
The fact that so many hate it does not neccessarily indicate that they are correct, but it certainly raises the question why?
The answer to that question is what has already been suggested; its interference in the affairs of the rest of the world.
Argumentum ad numerum.
Hardly.

So your theory is that the hate freedom so the attack you yet the are jealous of what you have which is freedom so the attack. It also makes me me wonder if the majority of the world hate you because they are so jealous of what you have got then why dont i see people burning New Zealand's flag or Australias(before john howard sucked up to bush). So in reality its obviously not jealous os think harder. And saying that they hate freedom is really childish.

Still too good for english I see.
Whatever that means, it does not matter since the question you posted was not making an arguement, but asking a question.
Idiot trying to show off and fail. If I knew latin, I'd put that in it for you.
CN, read the rest of his post, the part you quoted is sarcasm.

People don't hate the USA because they are jealous because you think that the americans have freedom. They hate the US becauese the US takes away the freedom of inhabitants of other countries like Iraq or Afghanistan or with the embargo against cuba, they take away some of the freedom of the Cubans. And I hope that the only reason that the average income of an Us inhabitant is so high, is because of people like Bill Gates, The Bush family, Steve Jobes,.. But median of the income of an US inhabitant is much lower then most European countries, which even have bettersocial security. And a lot of European countries are against the US (belgium, France, Germany). But they have nothing to be jealous about. In my opinion they are even wealthyer then the USA. Its only because the USa has some super rich people. The average income is higher.

A lot of posters in this thread seem to be ignoring the fact that neonate asked a question:
Why do you think that so many countries hate the U.S.A. so much that they would sacrifice there lives for its destruction?
It isn't an argument it's a question.
Responding with more questions,

The answer that the rest of the world is jealous of the United States has been successfully disproven now by several people.
The answer that the world is angry at American intervention has not been disproven by anyone
so it stands.

I am offended you would actually think that I thought like that :)
I am Australian and that was sarcasm, of what you could expect from the "patriots", no matter if it makes sense or not.
Of course, these answers are peddled out by government officials so that the "average American Joe" will still think of the United States as upholders of freedom and liberty. Critical thinking is not encouraged in modern day society and why these answers are repeated endlessly.
Obviously the Americans bear the "grunt" because they are the leaders in foreign interventions, while most other countries turn a blind eye or encourage it.
Hating freedom is a term I despise, which is often used by those on the right to attack anyone who doesn't agree with them. I don't think anyone "hates" freedom, the definition of "freedom" however varies from person to person.

I don't this is because they hated them but because they saw an oppertunity for profit, anyway not everyone was a slave master, infact it was a very small number of people. Anyway, howdoes this relate to the USA?

I doubt that most people in the world were born in rome. People hated the romans because the romans invaded their countries and made them part of the empire although i'm sure sure you'll claim it was because they were jealous of the romans' wealth and freedom.

John Galt:
You're clearly missing the point.
The question is why are Americans hated today
The fact that historically, people have been unjustly hated is irrelevent.
Throughout human existence, some have been hated justly, others have been hated unjustly.
You have in no way shown that the hatred towards the United States falls in the later category.

YOU are making the assertation that we are justly hated. The burden of proof falls on you to prove that that is the case, not me.

That huge map you see of rome conquereing all of Europe is mostly a lie. They ruled all of that, but those were mostly allied states. Rome gave them protection and partial citizenship in exchange for gold, soldiers and protection.

Neonate asked a question, several concievable answers have been given, including yours.
None of these answers are intrinsically any better than the others.
Untill evidence is given, they are all assertations.
The difference, however, is that while some justification had been provided for the notion that American interference and intervention has incited resentment and anger, none has been provided for the notion that American wealth and/or liberty has sparked jealousy in the rest of the world.

Again, that is wholly irrelevent.
It was unjustified for the masters to hate their slaves, but it was justified for the slaves to hate their masters.
Both types of hatred have existed throughout history, the question is which type applies here.

I can't prove someone else's motivations any more than you can.
However, I can show that one hypothesis is more likely than another.
In this case, the fact that resentment against the United States does not extend to other, equally well-off, nations, in addition to the fact that the United States has a long and brutal history of a foreign policy which has directly harmed millions of people, suggests that it is far more likely that the world's anger against the United States and her citizens stems from this policy, rather than from anger over its material wealth.

In Britain there is much less poverty and much more freedom than in the USA yet Britain doesn't suffer from the same kind of hatred as America does so clearly there are other factors involved than just jealousy.

So, are you still beating your wife?
How does one answer a question that contains a false assumption?
To me the assholes of the world are equal opportunity assholes who blow up night clubs and mosques all over the world, from Indonesia to Istanbul. The non-humans who flew the jets into the World Trade Center made a mistake waking the US. Now we're going to straighten the world out.
For every person willing to give their life to attack the US, I'll show you fifty people drowning on an inner tube floating to Florida or suffcating in a sealed container while being smuggled into the US. The US isn't hated by the world. No just the opposite. Your question contains a false assumption.
If it comforts you to believe the USA is hated by the world, go ahead, I can't control that. But watch as history marches past you.

:P The reason that the rest of the world hates the U$, excluding Tony Blair and John Howard, is because the U$ believes it is there right to impose there will on others through political assasinations, mock wars and general stupidity. They seem to believe that military might makes a great country! That is simply amusing.

Perhaps you could have worded your question a tad differently. I love the USA, but I hate its government. The basic premises for which it stands for are admirable, but I am not at all proud of the government's inability to stick to these premises. In fact, it sounds as if you are asking this question out of pure prejudice against America. Tony Blair is tossing the UK into the same mode of operation, but I never hear anyone asking questions to "all the UK lovers". Logically, if I am to assume responsibility for Bush's actions, then the citizens of the UK are equally responsible for what their Prime Minister is doing, if not moreso due to their ability to remove him from office through a vote of No Confidence.
