Recommend me some jazz, please.

I've listen to some jazz in my life, but never as much as other genres that I like and listen to every day. I like a lot of rock and punk and experimental genres within those categories. I also really like a band called Shining which started out as a free jazz group, but turned to experimental metal/jazz-fusion. So I definitely listen to music inspired and influenced by jazz, but I've never been that much into the genre itself. I guess I could enjoy experimental jazz, but don't have anything against the more "classical", bluesy stuff either, I think.

Go on.

Going from screaming rock to jazz was a little tough for me; but made easier by starting with fusion like Mahavishnu Orchestra(forgot to mention Inner Mounting Flame), Return to Forever and Al Dimiola. Now my favorites are trios, usually piano, bass, drums-because there's nowhere to hide; and live, warts and all!
