Any ideas as to how to make one?

I'd figure you would have to get somewhat of a large group of students and request a group to be made.
True story:
At my school, students are not allowed to create groups , only the school board.
Because a group of students wanted to make a Neo-Nazi group

Do you already know any socialist students?
And would this be a group for activity, such as a school union or a study group?

Yes. I was thinking of making it a group for marxists and anarchists. I don't see the point in having the two as seperate groups.

But are you thinking of making it a study group or an activist group, representative entity, etc?
If it's a study group, I don't think you really need permission. Just find somewhere to sit around at lunch/recess, get a text agenda ready and start studying!

At my school there are clubs that are school recognized. These clubs get classrooms to use for club meetings. I think that it should be a study and activist group.
Some possible ideas i have:
1) Have the group read a book and then discuss it at the group meetings.
2) Have debates between the different tendencies in the group.
3) Recruit people to the group and help spread anti-capitalist ideas to the school

Wouldn't fly at my school at least unfortunately... I was heavily ostracized even when I tried to make an outdoors club because when the administration wanted to talk to me about it I happened to be wearing a sickle and hammer shirt.

You guys could probably get away with calling yourself a study group and doing that stuff. Could you meet in the library after school or something?

I think i could get an official club approved. These are all the clubs at my school. A marxist and anarchis club should be no problem.

A key thing about forming groups - think about what you want to do first. Rather than starting a loosely defined Marxist/Anarchist group, think about what Marxist/Anarchist project would be worth taking on. Does your school have an independant leftwing/anarchist newspaper? What about a student-run kitchen serving free food (there's lots of models for this from universities - look up the Midnight Kitchen, Peoples' Republic of Delicious, or, more broadly, Food Not Bombs)? Would people want to have weekly film screenings - what about a rad Film Club?
A group for a group's sake is alright, but it's likely to just draw a small group and collapse in a year or two when the founding members graduate. By starting a project that opens up space for new people to get involved doing simple tasks (layout! cutting vegetables! helping choose films!) and mature politically within the group, you're likely to have a longer term implact.

That sounds like a good idea.

How many leftists do you think would join your school group?
This would have never happened at my school, I was literally the only socialist student, all though there were a few leftist teachers, mostly in the history department as you can imagine. Had I wanted to make a club for liberal capitalist apologists, I could have filled an arena.

We had one at my high school. It was called German Club. Seriously, most of my good friends in high school were socialist, we all took German, and spent German Club talking about socialism and communism with our socialist German teacher.

Sounds like my high school experience. We used our club meetings to watch old DDR movies so we could satisfy the German part while having nice discussions about the nature of communism vs. capitalism in the Cold War. It almost always ended with us all wishing the communist East hadn't collapsed.

I wonder what people's (thermidorian) reaction would be?

Wasn't Robespierre a total psycho? He executed tons of people. I'm not sure i would want that type of association even if it is a joke.
