Howdy folks,

Firstly, my name's James and I'm a progressive socialist living in the UK. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the leftist (or even the whole political scene) community here at the moment, we're very divided a lack a consolidated movement that can move forward with the working people at heart. The SWP have been involved in several rape/harassment scandals, and the Labour party has betrayed the working classes it once stood to represent.

That said, I have full faith in the working people here in the UK. Just from social occasions with friends and family, its becoming very obvious that people are displeased with the way our government is working. We just need a real anti-capitalist movement that can channel this discontent into building a revolutionary reform.

I hope I can learn lots from the people here,

- James

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

I agree with your view about the left. In the UK, the CPGB group (http://cpgb.org.uk/) is actively propagandising for left unity around a Marxist programme. What are your views about such efforts?

By the way: I removed your last name in the post as we're rather strict in our privacy rules. I strongly recommend you go change your nickname as well. You can do that here (http://www.revleft.com/vb/name-change-requests-t171148/index.html).
