...that even a dating thread http://www.revleft.com/vb/revleft-dating-advice-t181009/index4.html can dissolve into sectarianism :D

Really? That's what I hate most about us all, especially me.

I've never understood this. Besides some people I know who go to their own version of Woodstock every year I've never witnessed such a level of political self-hate as on this forum.

People going around shrieking 'WHERE'S THE LEFT!?' mate you are the left.

Pissing in the wind and grumbling about how wet our shoes are getting...

Nah, it's not that bad, though the level of pessimism and sectarian-like bickering can make it feel very 'oh for fuck sake, what's the point' sometimes.

That's what depresses most of us.

Anyway, I think many people don't appreciate the necessity of revolutionary patience in periods of low class-consciousness. Unfortunately, the attitude of many sections of the left, who flail around aimlessly, try to substitute the proletariat with some other group, or jump at anything that looks vaguely revolutionary, just exacerbates the problem.

Well, between that and a liberal sense of entitlement to power, I know which one I'd go with.

I've only been here for 14 hours and I already feel so much aggressive pessimism, I love it. I'd like to apply for citizenship.
