How many Canadians have heard about this yet?
Belinda Stronach, 37 year old heiress of Magna Autoparts, is now in the running for the leadership of new Canadian COnservative Party.
The media have called her a "Progressive Conservaitive." (HA! We know this is an Oxymoron)
Those of you who have heard about this, what are your opinions on her?
Being a member of the NDP, and as a person who is Anti-Capitalism, I oppose her candiacy in every way.
I shudder at the thought of Paul Martin, a billionare businessman, debating with Belinda, a billionare businesswoman, saying, what I predict, the exact same thing. Is this what politics has degenerated to in Canada?
Vote NDP, the only real alternative, at this point in time.
(I put this in Opposing Ideologies, to give the Right Winged Canadians a say on this matter)
Edit: Can someone fix the title for me? Goddam College keyboards)

Typical, even poor typing isn't their fault. Its the "College keyboards" that are to blame.
Has anyone else noticed the lack of personal responsability in these reds?

Good to see you're addressing the issues raised. Look I know you can't form an intelligent argument, but you don't have to make it so painfully obvious.

Lucid, why don't you try responding to the post instead of his complaints against college keyboards? Your comment is irrelevant and imflamatory. Quit initiating flame wars.
What did you want the title to be, I can fix it for you?
If she wins, I will cry. Imagine all the work towards mass transit destroyed, imagine an even greater polarization of power. She is wealthy, she is the heir to great wealth, and she is a *****. The Tories in Ontario did their budget speech in her plant last year, showing her ties (and the illegality of such a move was hotly debated more than the budget, which gutted our province even more) to the right. Remember Eves saying that even if Canada didn't support the war on Iraq, Ontario did? This may be stretching her involvement (guilt by association) but she is the last person I'd like to see on the throne of the right. She'd be even worse than an Albertian conservative imo, as she has the money and the attitude, all she is lacking is the royal title.
I am not affliated with any party, and am ideally a bit of an anarchist, regardless I vote with my social-enviromental mindset: Green.

To me the obvious lack of personal responsibility that some of you people show is an important issue.
It all goes hand in hand.

Your posts to this thread are irrelevant. Post on the issue at hand, or don't post at all. Oh yah, old keyboards are clunky and sticky, schools usually have old equipment because the equipment may not be uptodate but still works for years after it is 'obsolete.' Technology is not perfect. End of subject.
Stronach is a fresh face, the camera loves her and she's got the megabucks - Globe and Mail (http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20040108/MACGREGOR08//?query=Belinda+Stronach)
