This show is much better than I remembered. Sure, they have some episodes which don't turn out that well, but the majority are pretty good.

Scully is a babe.

That's weird. I'm watching x-files too. Season 1 dvd and the episode with the stretchy guy that eats liver used to haunt my dreams. Mainly his yellow eyes in the dark.

I watched these on Netflix a little while ago. Season one is sorta charming with some good episodes, season two is when it all comes together. Season three and on are not worth watching (at least not going through the whole series - better to just pick and choose episodes that seem interesting). Far too much overly convoluted and useless stuff. Broadcast TV hadn't really figured out how to serialize genere shows yet (outside of primtime soaps and Twin Peaks maybe). X-Files was much better as a "monster of the week" procedural than a serial. And in season 3 they try to make Skinner a sex symbol for some reason and he's shirtless in half the episodes he's in.

I think "Buffy" cracked serialized-genre code somewhere in season 3 or something and it's all be TV-heroin shows getting people strung out on Sporanos and Lost and Breaking Bad whatnot from then on.
