Hallo my name is Jerry well not really but I'm 17 and I come from a reactionary background and I think some of you did too. What led me to this site and left wing politics in general, all started with a meeting from my school administration when they contacted me about reported "disturbing and threatening posts" on my Facebook or whatever which was supposed to be my private content anyway. That didn't stop them from contacting my mom about it and made her feel like a bad parent about it by describing all the "vile things" on it (like a fucking cover photo of konata heiling hitler with a nazi armband, which was supposed to be a fucking parody anyways). I took a lot of shit from authority before, specifically my parents and the police, and I've always been a pretty obedient libertarian ron paul worshipping kid until that day. Then I started getting into more "rebellious" liberal culture because I hated and reveled authority as I grew up to realize they gave me nothing. Eventually of course, I started hating liberal culture as well as soon as I found out it was all the same bullshit once I discovered this site and I read so much great information on this site that I decided I should contribute to the community myself. And so here I am.

I hope I entertained you all with that pointless little story. Can't wait to make some new friends whoooo

Welcome :)

If you have political questions, you can ask them in the Learning forum. That's why it's there after all!

If you have questions about your account, don't hesitate to send me a PM or ask here.

Yes, many here had reactionary backgrounds and often remain rather isolated for a long time in their respective communities.

What are your political views, if any? Or are you still somewhat exploring?

Thanks a very much sir!

Well, for one thing, I guess I could say I never did like some asshole having power over me or others even in my reactionary days, and i don't really see government much different from that concept, so I guess I side a lot with the anarchists on that one. I've always believed coercion of most kinds was wrong and unjustified, and now I'm against coercion of any kind.

As for my most recent beliefs, I was a Marxist for a day or two before I started thinking more about DotP. I still like Mr. Marx and his works but I definitely wouldn't call myself a Marxist.

One of the beliefs of the Left that attracted me the most however, was communism, and it was what got me into Marx in the first place. I guess you could say I sound like an anarcho-communist.
