As if getting adults to do it wasn't sickening enough.
There is not enough space on my body to stick all the extra arms needed to properly facepalm in response to this.
PS: Don't bother going to the youtube video's page. It has ratings and comments disabled. Typical.

erm.. isn't this just a tiny minority of high school students just using the power of accessible media, to make themselves look loads bigger than they really are? Are they really worth getting hot and bothered about?

Yes, they are worth getting hot and bothered about. Because this shit actually WORKS here in America.
The disease of Christian Nationalism is virulent in this country, and there are ALOT of individuals who are willing to do anything they deem neccessary to remake America into the theocratic dystopia that they desire.
Shit like this needs to be confronted as soon as it becomes known. We can't afford to ignore it.

Good for them that they where only kids saying those things, if they where adults, they would get laughed at by most people. They sounded like they got out of a time machine from the early 1930s america.

Actually it's from a Right Wing Christian PAC called "Reach America"
In reality, the students neither wrote the speech nor organized this thing. The students are just mouthpieces, since people are less likely to question and criticize kids...
... or so these christian reactionaries seem to think.

The Christian right has plenty of that stuff. Look at these gems.
This one essentially says that Christian kids are suffering persecution because of gay rights:

This one about gay marriage confusing kids is pretty funny:

Are you sure that first one isn't a parody? It's got that sort of sarcastic undertone to it that you'd expect to find in a parody so... eh... I'm not sure that it qualifies.
That 2nd one seems legit (as in, legitimately christian propaganda) though.

It's legit, it was made by the "ex gay" Exodus International Ministries:

Does anyone else find it ironic that the video ends with the cross falling over? LOL!
I wonder if these kids have ever been called totalitarian, anti-freedom, dangerous, crazy utopians? Didn't think so. Try being a radical leftist, a (proper, anti-gender) feminist or a religion-critical atheist (rather than a pro-religion atheist.) See how that feels.

I get called many of the things they got called because I believe that there are scientifically correct answers to things and reject the dominant ideology of post modernism/relativism as well as the idea that young people should live hedonistic, self-centred lives. One of my sociology lecturers even asserted (in front of a room with hundreds of people in it) that we (the students) were all there to advance our own self-interest and that we didn't have any broader (collective) interests in mind. And yet people think I make too many generalisations! Universities think they can act like us revolutionaries don't even exist and like everyone now thinks the same thing.

Somebody give me a teeny-weeny violin so I can give the suitable musical accompaniment to this little persecution complex you've got going on over here. "I'm not big on post-modernism but a bunch of people were in the 90's oh noooooes my suffering it's the end of the world!!!" Some leftists have really gotta go and take a reality check...

Do you know that TAA is a misogynistic rape apologist/advocate?
Here are some of his views on rape:
Rape (http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Rape) isn't fatal. So imagine my indignation when I saw a chatroom called "Rape Survivors." Is this supposed to impress me? Someone fucked you when you didn't want to be fucked and you're amazed that you survived? Unless he used a chainsaw instead of his dick, what's the big deal? ... The word survivor applies to people who are alive after being stabbed 73 times with an ice pick or mauled by rabid wolverines, not to a woman who gets dick when she doesn't want it. Just because you got raped, you have to rape the English language? You vindictive *****! Also, don't you ever get tired of being the victim? How many failed relationships are you going to blame on a single violation of your personal space?
I told her, "You’re lucky it wasn't me. I’d have busted your fucking nose and raped you."
I think we should give the guy who raped you a medal. I hope you fucking drown in rape semen, you ugly, mean-spirited cow.You can read the rest here (http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/TheAmazingAtheist).
I'm kinda getting tired of people making the lazy assumption that being an atheist automatically makes you a progressive, seriously most religious people are far less objectionable than reactionary little shits like TAA.

The whole thing with these videos is the classical hypocritical persecution mania that Christian fundies use to get what they want (overwhelmingly throughout history it's them who have been the persecutors and oppressors, not the victims). Someone wants equal rights or disagrees with you? Just scream "Persecution!" and you might get what you want. Thankfully in the West that tactic is working less and less for them.

Here are some of his views on rape:...
I knew about the rape stuff, but this?! :scared: This guys a monster:
Kincaid made a post on a Marilyn Manson fanforum in his pre-Youtube days in which he advocated a lowering of the age of consent to "12 or 13" and admitted to having had "extreme pedophilic fantasies". In fact, he has admitted to having "dated" a 14 year old girl
In 2012 Kincaid told a suicidal gay man to stop whining and kill himself
Furthermore, Kincaid asked for money for an essentially identical project back in 2009, called FreeSpeechVids (ironically Kincaid was the sole arbitrator of any videos hosted on the site). This site *did* materalize, although only briefly, and well below the capacity that was promised. A BlogTV session was held in order to campaign for money for the site. In this session people were, shockingly, kicked out of the room for donating but not quite donating enough; and one of TJ's friends threatened to cut himself with a knife (shortly after threatening to shoot himself, and shortly before actually cutting himself on camera) unless more donations were given. Upon the closure of the site, Kincaid called all its members "fags" and made no attempt to refund donation money. In fact, a developer of the site, LodeRunner, accused Kincaid of misappropriating the donation money. Kincaid's best friend at the time also revealed that he had misappropriated the donations

The most annoying thing TAA has done (and this is ignoring his shitty personal views), is advertise for HOWARD BLOOM, the ex-music industry "science writer", author of a few stupid books; has had his talks hosted on that fat bastard's channel going on about how Capitalism is genius and somehow biologically advantageous. He's also a neo-con islamophobe. TAA advertising for him is literally the only reason he has a page on wikipedia now.

That video is full of crap though. I go to a public school and mostly everyone says the pledge of allegiance, most of the students are Christians so none of them are made fun of, and we are allowed to pray. The only thing that can't happen is if the teacher goes up and leads the class in prayer. That would be the only thing against the current rules...

Exactly. That is why the Christian Nationalists have to go about it in a stealthy manner. It's the same tactic they use for creationism in schools....they didn't have much success when they were explicit about it, so they had to invent the term 'intelligent design'. It's the same case here: Trying to make their argument seem more sensible with a combination of half-truths, whole lies, passive aggression, and a whole shitload of persecution complex.
Make no mistake, they could give two shits about the right of non-christians to pray to their particular deity(ies). This is ALL about using the state to indoctrinate children into their particular flavor of fascism. Don't EVER let them convince you otherwise, because they are amoral liars.

This thing kinda remind of that german movie with the kids forming a proto fascistic group after a social experiment from a teacher, I think it was the Wave or something. They're creepy like that.

The creepy kid with the spindly body and short hair? Yeah he looks like the type who will grow up and become a youth minister, and be beloved by the community until he is discovered as being a child molestor.
The sad thing is, alot of the teens in this video are kind of hot. I think the long haired guy is just a confused homesexual and will be lovely in a few years.
I also love the classic "Dont hate us because were hateful thing" when they talk about homosexuality
The "dirty jokes in the hallway" part is another thing I find amusing. Considering that Christ spent his time with prostitutes and tax collectors, the bottom of society, I think a group of upstanding christian youth like yourselves can hear some penis jokes.
Further, I hate how they feign surprise at the football coach story. Yes I agree, it is a bit ridiculous to be investigated over something like that, but its the price we pay for that 1st amendment freedom. I find that preferable to me being investigated because my hand touched another guys hand in their ideal "city upon a hill" christian ruled America.

Of course, if it was a Mosque/Buddhist temple and an Islamic Imam or a Buddhist Monk, these christians would be the first ones shouting "First Amendment!!1"
