So which bands/songs would you reckon are the best for making out/getting off (delete as applicable to your way of speaking!!)

First off, defintitely the wonderful Nine Inch Nails, especially The Downward Spiral.

If I was breaking up and it was goodbye sex, it would be Touch Me by Rui Da Silva (Original Mix). If it was just another proverbial roll in the hay, then maybe Barbarella by Sven Vath (Deep Dish mix) or Breathe by Telepopmusik.

lost prophet, how the hell can you make out to Cradle of Filth?

it's fun, gives you this feeling of calmness in the midst of chaos...

"While I sip my blood-red wine
I watch you come out from the closet in my mind
You undress yourself with head up high
and carry yourself over by my side
you cover your hand with blood
and i embrace your fragile body
and i open up the passage to your soul
and i wish you death as i drag you over to mine control"

(well, that was just some lyrics i made up for myself, and my one man band; band member; Me...)

anyway, Aerosmith - Don't Want To Miss A Thing
Prince - The Beatiful Ones
maybe some jazz; Miles Davis, etc.
Faith No More - Easy
some blues; got a band on my mind but don't remember the name
some music that's not mainly focused on the vocals(you dont want to think about some other when your making out)

my exgirlfriend always used to put on some anastacia or something, something that drived me nuts, and out of my mind... my present girlfriend listens more to marilyn manson, and weve have been making out(+++) to marilyn manson, prince, cradle of filth, aerosmith.....

Mars Volta was pretty cool, as was Cooper Temple Clause.

I'd love to make out to Ani DiFranco, but it would have to be with the right girl.

Also:
Alkaline Trio
HIM
Sikth would also be kinda cool.

Hmmm...this is an interesting thread....

My picks depend on the mood that im in i guess. But im going to say that Otis Redding and Marvin Gay. Or the Cure and Depeche Mode and Bob Marley. Those five picks are my "i want to chill, be mellow" with my partner thing.

Now, if im in a funky mood and want to have some fun Im going to want some James Brown or RHCP (Blood Sugar Sex Magik). Zeppelin (esp. Whole Lot of Love) and Hendrix (esp. Are you experienced?) are good to listen too as well- but mostly if you are on acid or shrooms, than it makes for a wonderful experience :)

deftones - minerva

I'd say either Bob Marley or RHCP (good choice SenoraChe.) Bring Out Your Dead by AntiFlag is actually surprisingly good too.

as for the sex thing, I've never (and I really doubt that a good 50% of this thread's constituants have), but I'd say the wonderful "Sexual Healiing" would be at the top of my fake list.
or any song ever penned by the great Morris Day and the Motherfucking Time!, especially classics like "If the Kid can't make you Come"

Norwegian Wood, by the Beatles, is a good one.

There is a verse in the song that goes "I once had a girl - or should I say - she once had me - she showed me her house - isn't it good - Norwegian wood?".

When I first heard the song, I thought he was singing "I wanted a girl - or should I say - she wanted me - she showed me her house - as we did good - Norwegian wood."

At the time, I thought Norwegian Wood was the greatest metaphor for sex of all time. I used it as slang until I was about 15, when I actually looked up the lyrics.

(More pointless stories after this commercial break.)

The Steve Miller Band's version of "Fly Like an Eagle" works well. "Vampires", by Atmosphere, has also provided some pretty good experiences.

Well, I'd say:

3 Libras - A Perfect Circle - I like how the song builds up, then slows back down, then builds up again.

Hourglass - At the Drive-in - Good song when one is depressed.

Glasshouse Tarot - Sparta - Another melancholic song

The Simple Truth - Tsunami Bomb - Good mushy song

No Lies, Just Love - Bright Eyes

Lover I Don't Have to Love - Bright Eyes

The Get Away - Pretty Girls Make Graves

The Boy With the Thorn in his Side - The Smiths

Epic Problem - Fugazi

and for that girl or boy who wants to go all the way but ya ain't ready:

Burning Too - Fugazi

People just disagree on music...but i dont give a fuck about who sponsors them, or what clothes they wear, i like their music from back in the day before Travis was the drummer. You know before they got big..

Dr. Rosenpenis
13th January 2004, 01:41
It's cool.
I don't dislike them because they're popular and rich. Hell! The Beatles are my favourite band and they're as 'pop' as it gets.
I just don't don't like Blink 182's music.
And their name sucks too.

Man, half you people made recommendations like you were in a porno flick. The other half makes me wonder if you aren't way too into s&m. The one time I made the mistake of playing Tool during a sexual encounter, my girl started wondering what I was going to ask her to do next. In any case, I find that by the third bar on Mazzy Star's "So Tonight That I Might See" album things usually get down to business.
