Does anyone know Radical Independence (http://radicalindependence.org/)?
I was just reading about Farage being forced to cancel a video conference (http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2013/may/17/nigel-farage-fascist-scum-protesters) by the "radical left pro-Scottish independence movement"
I didn't know such a group existed, does anyone know anything about them (other than what's on their website) or if even that website is the same as the group who harassed Farage.
Thanks,
LJW

They are a campaign front for the cause of 'Scottish Independence' organised by the International Socialist Group, with varying involvement of a variety of left groups in Scotland including Scottish Socialist Party and the Socialist Workers Party.

Anybody have any more information on what this group is actually like? Are they Communist or just Social Democrats?
And should we be supporting them?
Lastly, should we be supporting Scottish indepdnance or not as it's never good to see the creation of a new capitalist state?

I agree however in theory the creation of a new capitalist state would at least allow the people a greater say over what's happening.
Your say/vote in a state of 60 million is less than your say/vote in a state of 5 million.
I support Scottish independence but of course it doesn't end there, the fight for Socialism will continue.

This is the sort of silliness that distracts from the proper goal and purpose.
It will not affect the worth of people's influence whatsoever - it merely serves to change the cosmetic appearance thereof.
Fuck all national independence, down with all nations, without exception.

So you support the British nation/dictatorship? England telling the others what they can and can't do?
I can't see any reason to oppose any peoples fight for independence.

I support the destruction of the British nation, not the formation of a separate Scottish nation. (That will suppress its working class all the same, don't forget.)

Why should socialists waste time demanding independence when they could focus on actual oppression ie capitalism?
