Cyprus president until some months ago was Dimitris Christofias who was a member of AKEL, the leftist party of Cyprus. That guy brought Cyprus to financial crysis by his actions . For example he gave to the refugees families (Cyprus is occupied by Turke from 1974) 25000+ euro while the other presidents gave max 10000. he helped the poor in that way but excesively, so much that people now pay more taxes to clear the debt. what do you guys believe? im a communist but i cant see how i'd govern a nation in the communist outlines. dimitris is kinda hated right now.

AKEL is NOT leftist, it has nothing to do with communism, and christofias was yet another muppet of capitalism and imperialism.Seems like you need to freshen up your facts first on what communism actually is, and then get to decide how it will run, and either it can or can not exist.

Stick around, read some threads, ask questions to learn but also try getting some books on the subject, there are some interesting ones.

Btw we have a greek language forum, you can find it under the International Section in the Main Page.
