Greetings comrades, my name is Theo and I currently live in Cyprus, somewhere in the Mediterranean sea. A friend of mine first talked to me about communism and socialism and after some reading, (the communist manifesto by marx and engels, and some books from orlando finges) i realized this is where i belong. I like reading and i spend a lot of time on the web. I'd love to get to know some of you guys better ;)

Welcome to the forum! What's the situation in Cyprus like these days? Nearest I can tell the economic crisis in Europe is hitting you guys harder than most.

yeah, people robbed the country to its limits. we had a communist president, months ago his reign ended. people say it was his fault we got into this situation. he gave excessive amount of money to refugees and this is the reason we are paying taxes now. whats ur opinion samuel? where are u from btw

I am an American (from Michigan to be exact) but I try to stay up to date on as well as talk to people experiencing the crisis in Europe because it looks like it has potential to become more widespread.

I don't have any intention of hijacking your intro thread but I am very interested in learning more about recent events in Cyprus. Cool if I shoot you a PM and ask some more questions?

Do you have fashists in cyprus? Just curious. I wonder if the Aryan circle jerk at scuumfront even considers Cyprians a part of the mythical "white race" (not like you would ever want to join the shitfronters circle jerk.)

There is a nationalist group called ELAM (ethniko laiko metopo) ethnic people's organisation which is considered the most right wing party in Cyprus right now , their idols are greek Golden Dawn (xrisi avgi ). they want to kick political/economical refugees out and these stuff. people seem to support them

Bleh. That group is nothing more than enemies of the left. Do they attack immigrants like the greek nationalist parties or do they not have the publics support.

yeah they are pretty small though if you take in consideration that Cyprus has population less than a million
