Never minded cicadas honestly. We get the annual ones down here every few summers and they tend to be pretty small swarms and not particularly loud. Suppose one of the few advantages of living in Florida is that we don't get the zerg swarm version down here. Though I suppose you could also look at it as that even giant swarms of buggy annoyance don't want to live here.
