Greetings comrades and fellow travelers.

I'm Brandon, from the state of Georgia. I've been a socialist for many years, but only recently decided to start airing out my ideological laundry in public....so, you know, howdy and all that.

I'm sort of a multi-tendency, anti-authoritarian type...so I don't really adhere to any particular ideological tendency. I'm partial to Marx, and Luxembourg, and Kropotkin. Also a big fan of the Wobblies (hence the Joe Hill avatar). I don't think that socialist thought begins and ends with any particular thinker, but I'm open to most.

I'm also a big believer in the importance of fun and humor in the movement. I don't trust anyone who doesn't know how to have fun. I'm all for worker's ownership of the means of production, revolution, and all of that.....but if I can't have a hamburger and a beer, then the revolution be damned.:D

So, anyway, here's to the coming revolution, and to what I hope are many productive and, most importantly, fun discussions on RevLeft.

Cheers.

Welcome from the Big A, my Maconite comrade.

You're in Atlanta? Damn, I kinda envy you. There is literally NOTHING to do in this town!

Hello from Texas! The southern leftist intellectual communities always need solidarity, so a hearty welcome.

No kidding. It's pretty hard to be a leftist in the South, especially these days.
For some reason I always torture myself by reading the Letters-to-the-Editor in my local newspaper. The irrational hysteria that shows up in those pages...it's painful.
