Hello,

Making my first post in introductions.

My name is Ryan, I'm from the States and have flirted with leftist social politics for most of my intellectual lift. I finally became aware that I was a socialist when I've came to grasps with the idea that the mode of economics directly shapes the social societies we live in.

I just recently received a B.S. in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and just got married. Currently finishing up my 6 year contract with the Air National Guard. As much as it shames me that I'm in the military, it is the only thing that allowed me to go to school.

I'm hear to learn about ongoing struggles and further refine my understanding of socialist economics.

Don't worry too much on the military thing. Your service was a result of an economic draft, glad that at least you got something worthwhile out of it. We have another, very active member who served in Iraq.
