Pretty basic question, as the world surrounding anarchist Soain was capitalist and autarky wouldn't seem practice. Did they like have syndicates figure out what worker needs were and buy them from other countries when they couldn't find them in their own? An moreover, who did the buying, where's they get outside resources from, and what did they do when demand within Catalonia exceeded what was possible to obtain from the surrounding world?

Agricultural products were obtained from the collectivised farms , and so did misc products made from artisans and craftsmen , and a few factories that came under workers' control.

I don't know exactly what products you have in mind.

As far as weapons are concerned , they lacked those, and they lacked other important resources , as they were under an internal embargo from madrid, as the government was looking to centralize power and command of the republican territory , and catalonia was basically self-controlled at the time. This embargo is the reason why afterwards CNT,with franco's offensives marching on and republican offensives being a complete disaster , recognised the government and participated in it (receiving ministried of lesser importance).

Some Soviet aid probably trickled in to Catalonia. While anarchists were "running the show," so to speak, there was also the presence of POUM and PCE (or whatever the Stalinist/Marxist-Leninist organization was called).
