Hello, citizens of the world.

We are Anonymous

North Korean government is increasingly becoming a threat to peace and freedom.

Dont misunderstand us: As well we disagree with the USA government too these guys are crooks, USA is a threat to world peace too, and direct democracy (or any kind of democracy) doesn't exist there. The American government is a target and enemy of Anonymous as well!

This is not about country vs country This is about we, the people, the 99% (of USA and of North Korea) vs oppressing and violent regimes (like USA gov. and N.K. gov)!

We, the people, are gathering together because we are stronger now and we wont fight your wars anymore, we wont eat your shit anymore!!!

We demand:

- N.K. government to stop making nukes and nuke-threats

- Kim Jong-un to resign

- its time to install a free direct democracy in North Korea

- uncensored internet access for all the citizens!

To Kim Jong-un:

So you feel the need to create large nukes and threaten half the world with them?

So youre into demonstrations of power?, here is ours:

- We are inside your local intranets (Kwangmyong and others)

- We are inside your mailservers

- We are inside your webservers

Enjoy these few records as a proof of our access to your systems (random innocent citizens, collateral damage, because they were stupid enough to choose idiot passwords), we got all over 15k membership records of http://www.uriminzokkiri.com/ (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.uriminzokkiri.com%2F&h=UAQHFekZ7&s=1) and many more. First we gonna wipe your data, then we gonna wipe your badass dictatorship government.

To the citizens of North Korea we suggest to rise up and bring these motherfuckers of a oppressive government down!

We are holding your back and your hand, while you take the journey to freedom, democracy and peace.

You are not alone.

Dont fear us, we are not terrorist, we are the good guys from the internet. AnonKorea and all the

other Anons are here to set you free.

We are Anonymous

We are Legion

We do not forgive

We do not forget

Expect us!

So what is the great Anonymous battle plan? Will they commit DDOS attacks until Kim Jong Un's superiors fire him, like they did with Adria Richards? Or will these white knights tilt at windmills, act like blowhards, and generally make fools of themselves like they usually do?

I don't really know what to say about this. They should be at war with every nation in the world, not just the USA and DPRK. I believe this is their way of getting each other to try to focus on DPRK.

I expect this war to unfortunately be about as dramatic as the current one between North and South Korea.

This is the inevitable result of the libertarian mindset and approach -- a nation-by-nation polarizing into "bad guys" and "everyone else". It's not dissimilar from a cop (or superhero) mentality -- not that I would know from experience about either one.

If Anonymous is going to engage at the level of the nation-state then it's going to be subject to the dynamics of the same, like getting caught up in geopolitical intrigues between the U.S. and North Korea. But, on the flipside, this is the absolute worst I can say about such political-philanthropic efforts.

Don’t fear us, we are not terrorist, we are the good guys from the internet. AnonKorea and all the other Anons are here to set you free.

I am no enthusiast for Kim Jong Un or his regime, but, when I read the statement by Anonymous and consider their timing, it sure seems like Anonymous are parroting the US government view of North Korea, which is less than I expected from Anonymous, and the quote above, from Anonymous, is so condescending to the people of North Korea as to be offensive.

I also think the timing of the statement by Anonymous is particularly suggestive. Now, while the imperialist powers are beating their war drums against North Korea, with the ordinary people of that unfortunate country caught in the middle, between their own ghastly government and the coming imperialist attack on their country, now is the time that Anonymous adds its own little tin whistle to the imperialist call for an attack on North Korea. That's a despicable thing for Anonymous to do; their statement puts them in line/in concert with the policies of imperialism. Anonymous should be embarrassed, and peace advocates the world over should be criticizing every and any call for an attack on North Korea. Only the people of that country have the right to overthrow their oppressive government.

Anonymous showing themselves to be as repugnant as usual. Every citizen in the DPRK has a home and an education completely free of charge, and employment stands at 100%. It is a prime example, along with Cuba, of the dictatorship of the proletariat and it has achieved all this despite constant provocation from the USA and it's imperialist lackies, and sanctions delivered therein.

After a promising start, i have recently totally fallen out of love with anonymous. They are just a bunch of deluded self important keyboard warriors who are so idealistic is put any liberal or rightwing liberatian to shame. The best thing about it is that the give of the impression that they are 'good guys' yet regardless of what 'good' they do, absolutely zero people are impressed. Even when they start to use american rhetoric. Despite being tared as leftwing in the mainstream media, I recon that the majority of them are 'tea party' types.

Anonymous has launched 'Operation Free Korea' and have hacked into social media pages belonging Uriminzokkiri, one of North Korea's official propaganda outlets.

They began by transforming Kim Jong-un into a pig.

Uriminzokkiri, is probably most famous for giving us that disturbing video in February with a North Korean boy envisioning an American city getting wiped out to the tune of "We Are the World."

"We got all over 15k membership records of Uriminzokkiri.com and many more," read the message, according to a version obtained by the tech site BGR. "First we gonna wipe your data, then we gonna wipe your badass dictatorship' government."

I'm really sick of the mainstream and not-so-mainstream media calling Anonymous a "Hacktivist Group". If you've posted on an imageboard without inputting a name, you are Anonymous. Should you then enjoy a sense of belonging to a "group" of lolbertarian wankers trolling DPRK? There is no group called "Anonymous", but some such wankers who find power in the name, and all those gimmicky images like the business suit with a question mark for a head.

Joke's on them, does NK even have any domains?

There are some under the .kp domain but that's about it. They are by and large meant for foreign use, even their Korean language stuff is an attempt (however pointless it might be) to communicate with South Koreans. Any domestic use of the internet is either for communication between institutions (ie the military) or universities, or the controlled access points in the handful of Internet cafe-type places.

Delenda Carthago posted a website which gathers all the known websites they have as well as what servers they are using to host them.

http://www.northkoreatech.org/the-north-korean-website-list/

Anonymous hacked the Uriminzokkiri (http://www.uriminzokkiri.com/index.php?ptype=english) website which is where they said they got the passwords from. I'm not entirely sure what are the significance of these passwords as this site is explicitely a propaganda outlet of North Korea meant for foreign use, so at best they got some of the employees of the propaganda arm.

BTW, This website is responsible for some of the bizzare stuff we've seen in the past like the video of the burning New York City that used Modern Warfare usage (and as such got taken down for copyright...) and one showing Washington DC getting destroyed in crude graphics. I think they may have also been responsible for their own "Gangam Style" parody video attacking the then newly elected President Ms Park, due to her family history as well as that of her father.
