i notice kathleen hanna's totally absent too. fix that and add some bikini kill/le tigre/juli ruin. Carrie Brownstein was in another band called Excuse 17 that would probs be a good fit for this thing too.

I was thinking the same thing. There are feminist women musicians in many genres (including punk/rock) out there. I've seen at least a few do local shows where I used to live, I think. Look harder OP!

I'm asking for suggestions, and you're telling me that I don't have the right music? I didn't intentionally leave out female artists, that's why I'm asking for songs.

He clearly wasn't an angel by any stretch and I'd agree that at least his language is often misogynistic but there are a lot of doubts around the charges of rape and wasn't he found not guilty? (not 100% sure cuz I learned about it years ago and have forgotten the details)

I think that dispite his clear faults he did speak on the subject of empowering women and respecting women so I don't think it'd be wrong to take a song or 2 with a clearly positive pro-women message.
