View Full Version : Jackson - the music

I would'nt presume to lay judgment on his alleged misdemeanors nor speculate as to the outcome of his trial/freakshow which will probably hinge on who has the most money but I was a fan of his music...

For me the Jackson 5 were awesome and his best output was with them and later under the guidance of Quincy Jones. Though"Thriller" and "Bad" to me are no classics, there are some great songs but compared to a thing of beauty like "Off the wall" - they are weak..Throughout the nineties his musical decline seemed to go in tandem with his whitening, the whiter he got the shiter he got...

His legacy? Talentless tosspots like Justin Timberlake and all the dance routiney boy bands cut from the same cloth... I used to argue with Prince fans over who was the man, now looking back - Prince not only has the music but he kept his eccentricity just the right side of cool, just. Whilst Jacko these days is less than human, a macabre skeletor creature and possible kiddy fiddler but worst of all his new music is bland and totally uninspiring...

What say you the people?

I liked the song thriller, but he was a bit before my time, and i've never really listened to much.

Earth Song 's MTV made me cried, but I think Billie Jeans is the best song.

I don't care about his ever-changing faces and, sorry, but I have to say this artistically sensitive guy although looks quite freakie at times (even though i love him but i have to rationally admit this), i don't think he would molest kids.

anytime. ;)

Screw those biased flocks of brainless sheeps. As M.J. said" They just don't wanna give me credit for ANYTHING."

His music is good and he is an unbelieveably good dancer.
I like a few of his songs a solo artist, but but I especialy like his eraly stuff with the Jackson 5.
He is an all-around a great musicians.

I'm really bothered by people who have suspicions about him and judge him based on old allegations that have already been through trial. Whether or not he's a child molestor, I think he shouldn't be judged and ridiculed based on past allegations.

I completely agree with Fidelbrand, that he's artisticaly sensitive.

He rocks my socks! I can't help but burn the dance floor each time I hear some MJ. My favorite certainly is Billie Jean. And Thriller brings me soooo much memories.

Have you ever seen "Ghosts"? It's a little Halloween movie. The dancing in there also rocks my socks.

Bille Jean, she's not my lover. She's just a girl who think IIIIIIIIII am the one, but the kid is not my son

That pic is so sexy. :P

Believe it or not, I am an MJ (no, the singer) fan too. I love the music as well as the dance. Although I only try the dancing whilst in my room with the door shut and the curtains drawn! (And the lights out; it gets painful quite quickly! )

My favorite songs?

Billie Jean,
Earth Song,
Dirty Diana.

But bear in mind I haven't heard much of the earlier stuff - so my opinions may change!

As for the current trial? I feel sorry for the guy, I think he's innocent. I don't know enough about the case to comment further though... He can't go to jail!

MESSAGE FROM MICHAEL

Dear Fans:

By now nearly everyone has returned home after a wonderful showing of support for Michael in Santa Maria, California, at his arraignment. Michael wishes to deeply thank those who travelled from both within and outside of the United States. Your presence definitely made a positive impact on his day and as you could see he was overwhelmed by your love and support. To those of you who could not travel but were with Michael in spirit, he also extends a heartfelt expression of gratitude. In the coming weeks we will continue to update you and will keep you posted on future court dates where Michael will be in attendance. We will let you know as early as possible when Michael will be in court so that you can make travel plans and join Michael as he fights these false and vicious allegations. Thank you once again. Michael sends his love.

I believe that he is not guilty, but everybody that has already judged him should see the outcome of the trial...

He hasn’t had a good song (or video) since “Billie Jean”, in my opinion.

<<Bille Jean, she's not my lover. She's just a girl who think IIIIIIIIII am the one, but the kid is not my son>>

Isn’t it supposed to be, “The chair is not my son”?

<< He was trying to do what he did whith the thriller video but that success can never be met again.>>

You think the “Thriller” video was a success?? http://instagiber.net/smiliesdotcom/cwm/cwm/eek5.gif

Okay...to each his own....
