I do as a means of transport, I don't really do tricks or even Ollie.

I loved skating when i was younger! I havent as much as touched a board in like six years now.

It is one of the few sports i enjoy watching though. The other being football (soccer).

I used to skate all the time and could do some moderately difficult things. This thread has made me consider getting back into it. It will be a fun means of transport until I try to be young again and end up hurting myself.

the last two minutes or so of this video is one of my favorites

I can't be on one for more than 10 seconds.

I used to skate when I was 14-15...then I started boxing so I stopped because I kept falling on my hands. I got on a skateboard a year or so ago for the first time in years, and I fell immediately lol

I'll long board sometimes, but I'm not very good.

If you ever skated in your life, you'll never look at a case of stairs or a large gap of grass the someway again.

I skated for 10 years. I miss it everyday. I went to one of the public parks back in Fall early in the morning and try to bust out some tricks. I was out of breath after 10 minutes, I don't know how my friends and I use to skate from sunrise to sunset everyday!

I still watch videos online. I remember loving all my old skate videos from the mid-late 90s to early 2000's and thinking Crooked Grinds down a set of stairs was top-notch... Now I'm really into unconventional skateboarding. It's creative...

I've been skating since I was a little kid. A lot of my old friends went on to be sponsored in some way or another. I moved to an area where it was hard to skate, though, and haven't it done it much since until last summer. Looking forward to skating my ass off with the nice weather.

I did a little bit, but I was never good so I would just ride an old school deck and bomb hills while everybody else hit stairs and shit.

I've still got a longboard, but I never really ride it, maybe once or twice a summer.

I did when I was a few years younger. I got to an ollie, and that was my greatest accomplishment. Longboarding sounds pretty cool, I've been meaning to try that.

man, I wish I could skate. I used to, but never did anything fancy. I can only do ollies standing still. I'm considering to buy a skate board when I have the money for it/during the summer, but I'm afraid I'll just look stupid

I once saw a long boarder hit a lamp post in pretty high speed

Back in middle school us skateboarders would get into battles with groups of long boarders. It was pretty crazy at some points actually. It was like a big turf war between different packs of skaters and long boarders. So yeah, fuck long boards and that nonsense.

haha i've always been goofy foot as well, even when i was a skater. as far as the long board hate goes, you're just jealous, long boarding is where it is at; who wants to do tricks? its just about cruising

I'm right-footed in everything else, for example football/soccer, but I skate goofy

I found a 1987-ish Alva Eddie Reategui in perfect condition never gripped at a garage sale for $1

When i was in school, i thought all the skaters were self-absorbed pretentious dicks. then i became a self-absorbed pretentious dick... just one who didnt skate.

i was one of those kids who was in the anti-clique clique hahaha

I'll tell you who skates...the bunch of annoying kids in the little skate park next to the tennis courts where I play. Actually I lied, they don't skate at all. They just stand around with their skateboards and skinny jeans and floppy hair...

I just found a picture on the net of the exact kind of deck I had! Oooh nostalgia...

I had some "Royal" trucks and I can't remember what kind of wheels, but I had "Bones Reds" bearings.

I used to skate board until about 8th grade. I was pretty good at it. But when I moved in 7th grade there weren't many people that skated so I got kind of bored with it and when my board got stolen in 8th grade it was whatever. I can still skate but can't really do tricks anymore, I got on a board over the summer and ate it trying to do a simple kick flip. Though I can still ollie.

If you ever skated in your life, you'll never look at a case of stairs or a large gap of grass the someway again.

The desolate stretches of concrete landscape of abandoned strip malls and industrial parks still makes me giddy.

I used to fantasize about it and play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2. When I bought a board, I was too fat to balance on it properly, or so I thought. Now I'm more 'normal', but have little interest in skateboards. Roller skates, though, are a different story..

I don't even ride a bike. I'll never have what it takes to join the Anarchy Sk8 Crew (http://www.revleft.com/vb/member.php?u=29103).
