View Full Version : A Brief Dissection of Socialist Economy and Abolishment of State (Part 1 of 2)

I wrote an article laying out the ways in which a socialist economy functions, and briefly, how a socialist state abolishes itself. (http://planetaryindustrialist.tumblr.com/post/45847582657/economics-a-brief-dissection-of-socialist-economy-and)
I'd really like some critiques or suggestions on where the article can be improved, or where the article may be wrong. Or maybe similar articles I can draw influence from.
Consider that I am a Marxist—Leninist and perhaps some of your ideas might be conflicting with mine, though not necessarily wrong.
Some suggestions on how to proceed for part 2 would be great as well. I'll be discussing socialist democracy (USSR-style) and DOTP in part 2, and how it relates to the content in part 1, and how it brings about self-abolishment of state.
Thanks, comrades.

How do you define a state, and how do you define capitalism? That's the easiest way to root out where the disagreement actually lies.
The description of how the USSR (and other command economy states) operated is idealized; in practice things like competition, investment, etc. still existed (and flourished), from day 1.

I'll be sure to distinguish between the actual, and the theoretical goals.

As a point unrelated to what you've written, why do you have an SS logo at the top of your blog?

They do not represent the Schutzstaffel in this case. See here. (http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E1%9B%8B)

Even though they are the runes for 'SS', and the Schutzstaffel used double-S runes?

The Group of International Communists (GIC) debunked a lot of the classical Marxist (and later the foundation of Leninist) theories about the "workers state" as it relates to a centralized command economy:

It was written in 1930, and directly tackles socially necessary labor time, the command economy, etc. I highly recommend it.

Firstly, welcome to Revleft!
Secondly, could you please clarify your usage of the 'SS' rune. I have a limited understanding of runes but as a moderator I am somewhat worried by your use of it in your personal blog. If you could just clear this up, that'd be great. Cheers :)
