Anyone else have any experience with this? I'm currently a sophomore in College. I'm planning on going to nursing school and later becoming licensed as a Nurse Anesthetist. After I graduate with my specialty, I've been seriously considering working here for one or two years and then using my experience to try to weasel my way out of this country and land a job elsewhere where I would have the opportunity to start over debt free and begin a new career and life.

I absolutely hate most things about this country. My whole life here has been pretty shit. I'm tired of being broke and poor and busting my ass to better my life and do something that I enjoy while simultaneously going into more poverty. By the time I graduate, I will be worse off than if I would have just started working right after high school. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if I had access to health and dental care, but that's a laugh.

You must keep an eye out with the question if your diploma will be valid in those countries.

Well, I feel like most other countries encourage healthcare professionals that obtained a degree in the US to work in their countries. I know the US rarely allows anyone that got a degree in another country to use it here. Ridiculous

Well your credit rating would be thrown out the window. Won't be able to lease an apartment, buy a car, buy into a mortgage etc. I'm not sure how "globalized" credit agencies are, but they can really make your life a living hell, and you can't just escape them.

I don't have a lot of professional knowledge about this, but I guess if you have serious connections in some country abroad (through family, close friends etc.) and can speak the native language of said country fluently, you could probably find someway to avoid your creditors.

Or, alternately, you can move to an impoverished "third world" country, "befriend" some corrupt officials and obtain a borderline-illegal passport. It probably wouldn't even cost as much as you'd think.

Or, you could join a monastery and renounce all your material possessions.

Or, you could just stick around in the USA and wait until the higher education bubble bursts, and trust me, it will. In a big way.

Price of living is really cheap in Saudi Arabia and there are lots of jobs for graduates. It's hot too.

You could go Thoreau on everyone's ass. Find a patch of land far far from any meaningful sized civilization (the deep forests of Canada or Siberia), build a cabin, get your own food and all that.

I've heard that Sweden offer free college degree. University maybe too. But it was some time ago, when I've heard it.
