Moving to NYC

Hello comrades!

I will be moving to NYC after I finish my bachelors in May. I plan on working on my organizing skills, join leftist groups, take free classes/study sessions and prepare for my gre/masters for next year. Anybody has recommendations on which groups/centers/organizations to look into? I'm just aware of the Brecht forum. Also, which borough would you recommend?

I don't know any groups, but I can say personally, I'd want to be in Manhattan, The Bronx, or Brooklyn in that order. And the price of living probably goes down in that order - although it's still insanely expensive. To save money you could also live in Jersey City which is right there, although the metro doesn't go to it.
